Hello once again all!
I have my reservations for the DLH and am so excited! I just have a quick question for anyone who may be in the know and I realize it's a bit silly. How is the AC at the Disneyland hotel? I run really hot and like to keep it on all night. I've been watching some videos and see there is a good override that seems to work, but can anyone tell me if they have had that experience? I don't like it when it shuts on and off all night. I've used the override lots of times at WDW but just want to make sure it works here. I think it's a bit of an older system. Thank you as always for any help you can give me!

Not sure if you found your answer, but we have the same issue with the AC turning on and off all night. At DLH, you can tell the fan to keep running, whether or not it's actually cooling. That smoothed out the transition from AC to no AC sufficiently for us.

Ah, thank you very much! That's just the kind of thing I was hoping to hear, as being able to do that is always so helpful. Thank you very much again for taking the time to reply!

Google is your friend. Although it doesn't work as much as it used to, if there is a brand name on the thermostat, google how to override it. I have had luck when it is set not go any lower than 68, for example, to override that setting and make it go lower.

Thank you so much for this! I actually did do quite a bit of Googling on this and saw the many override videos and instructions. I just always appreciate the extra anecdotal and qualitative experiences of folks on here. :)

This is an older thread, but someone had posted a few years back that you can hold the power button and down button and it'll go into override mode.
OK, there is a work around to the AC/heater failing to come on without movement.

Press the Power Button and the Blue Down button at the same time. The letters bp will come on the screen. Set the temp to what you want and for 24 hours, the motion detector is over ridden.

There are a few thermostats this doesn't work on at the DLR (and WDW), and for those, you press and hold down the C/F switch til the bp comes on the screen (4-6 seconds), turn it back to F, adn set the temp....

Thank you so so much for this! This is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for and I really appreciate it! I’m going to save this so I have it when I go. Thanks again!
