We recently went camping at a local RV park and the park lost power. I guess too many people were running their air conditioning. Is this something I need to be concerned about at the Fort?

No, the Fort has an excellent upgraded power. I've seen it hot where everyone was running A/C and uncountable Christmas decorations/lights/blowups.

We are currently at the Fort this week and did have issues with low volatge on the 30amp circuit. We blew the fuse for the AC after being hooked up for about an hour. I noticed the belt plastic wire insulation smell when checking the breaker. I fixed the wires and switched to the 50amp service using a dogbone. No problems since.:)

Enjoy your stay at our favorite campground.

We camp at state parks a lot and have a lot of low voltage problems, especially in the summer. We bought a plug in voltage meter so we can keep an eye on it. It is really hard on your a/c to run it without enough power.

We haven't had any problems recently at FW but my cousin had their power pole to burn up on fire one trip several years ago. The guy who came to fix it said it happened a lot due to the RVs pulling a lot more power than they used to.
