Air Condition in Inside Attractions

How cold is the airconditioner for the inside attractions? We are leaving next week and I usually get cold when they crank the air up anywhere I go. Even though it will be a welcome relief from the heat, it feels sometimes that they set it to refrigerator temperatures. But the thought of lugging yet another thing in my backpack doesn't sit with me. Are there any rides/attractions that you all wish you were carrying something when you weren't.

The only attraction i have ever though that was on splash mountain. After the drop and you get all wet. Its after the last scene and it has the writing on the wall usually about where the boats get backed up at the load/unload area. Thats really the only place that i can think of. Every other place its a welcomed chill. As far as carrying a sweatshirt or long sleeved shirt or whatever you want, i dont suggest it. Its going to be hot outside when you dont have it on and its another thing that you need to carry.

I worked at the Hall of Presidents, and it was always freezing in there!

From Birnbaum's guide comes this quote, "Lightweight sweaters are necessary even in summer - to wear indoors when the air-conditioning gets chilly." That being said, I do not ever recall a time when I felt chilly indoors at WDW. It was always a very welcome relief from the heat outdoors. If you are sensitive to indoor air-conditioning you may want to take something along for anytime that you may be spending an extended time indoors i.e. meals, shows and the likes or in the evenings. I do not think most rides you would be inside long enough to get to cold. My best recommendation would be carry a long sleeve lightweight sweater or shirt that could be easily slipped on and off. When your not wearing it, tie it around your waist or shoulders. I think lightweight long sleeves would be more than sufficient.

I am someone who always gets cold, when the rest of the world is comfortable.

Bring your sweatshirt! I use mine every day at WDW. Remember, many attractions are inside. BBRRRRRRRRRRR!!
I carry a lightweight zip up jacket which works fine, in a Jansport back pack. Hardly takes up any room. You'll be glad you have it!:D

I, too, get cold easily especially in airconditioning. But we were there last week and it was soooooo HOT that I never needed my sweater. I did take my sweater once to a restaurant but I ended up taking it off even though the a/c was cranked up. The only place I was ever cold was in my room at the Swan, but it was easy to adjust the a/c temp. I think when you go inside in the parks, you are moving around so much that you don't get cold, plus it's so hot outside. Oops I already said that.

We always forget how cold WDW keeps their air conditioning turned to! without exception, a few weeks ago we found it refreshing at first, but the longer you are in it, the cooler you get. After a 60+ minute stay in the Poly at Ohana's, we were all ok to go back outside and "warm up".

If you are asking the question then you need to carry a lightweight cover of some type. It's refreshing, but cold!

No complaints though, we had some nifty ways of walking through stores to get to the majority of attractions in most of the parks--keeping cool while covering ground quickly. And be sure to stake out a parade route spot that is in front of the store doors--you'll have AC pumping out on you the entire time

Have a wonderful time!:smooth:

Just back today after 4 days, and I took a light jacket with me in the park and at the hotel. It was easy to just tie it around my bag when I didn't need it. I'm cold natured and I live in Atlanta so I'm used to the heat - but the jacket felt nice in some attractions! More so to me in the WL.
