Air Canada was nice to me today

I make my reservations online and I rarely have to talk to them, but on the odd occasion I have, the reservation agents are snotty and condecending bordering on rude.

Anyway, today I was booking my WDW hotel transfers so I went to check my flight times and I saw 2 schedule changes on our flights - our outbound was 45 minutes earlier and our return flight was 40 minutes early.

I didn't mind the outbound changing - but the return was a pain, we are already leaving too early as it is (2pm) and we were trying to have a nice breakfast & a spa treatment at AKL before going to the airport at noon.

So I called Air Canada and inquired on what it would cost to change to the 8pm flight returning - she looked at my reservation and said she would do it for free because of the sched change :goodvibes she was so nice, rebooked the later flight returning, did the seat selection and emailed me a new itinerary.

:wizard:

Thanks Air Canada - now I have a full last day at Disney and we can end our holiday with a nice afternoon. :)

Have to say I had to read your post b/c of too many bad customer service experiences with AC myself. Glad it worked out for you!

And we did have an excellent flight crew on the way back in June. I say it's b/c they all seemed to be Maritimers. ;)

I haven't had a problem with the inflight service & crew, my Brother is a Captain for AC and I know quite a few people. But lordy, the reservations staff and even worse - the aeroplan people. Snotty :confused3

Same thing happened to me, I booked a flight to MCO for November 30, the schedule got changed and they reservation person was so nice in helping me change the flights.

That's great :)

I figure we complain about the airlines all the time we should tell people when something goes right.

Hope I don't get flamed.

I know I am in the minority here but I usually find AC to be pretty good. In general and think they do pretty well based on the restrictions they operate under.

Management has limited power to do things sometimes, hiring and promotion is based on seniority. Which sometimes work but not always. It sometimes means that the best people don't always get promoted or the worst don't get laid off first.
