We're flying AC from Toronto to Orlando in Sept. I was fortunate enough to get 3 aeroplan bonus points tickets, but still required one paid seat. I checked AC on line and price is $518 for the one ticket that matches our aeroplan tickets flight times. I remembered that United shares these routes with AC, so I check United web site and for the exact same ticket and route, the fare is $368.74 USD - so when I convert that to Canadian $ at todays exchange it works out to $488 Cdn. So a savings of $30 for same ticket...every penny counts! I phoned their Cust Service to ensure that there were no differences between the AC & United flights and they assured me that these flights were connected and if one changed, so would the other so we'll all be on same timings etc. Only thing I didn't check on was if I can get AC bonus points while travelling on this United/AC shared flight. You should have no trouble in collecting Aeroplan miles on this UA codeshare flying on AC metal. Excellent catch. I have found similar deals (although I have not taken advantage of them) on British Midlands codeshares on AC metal to the UK. Travelocity will list the flights -- often with the BMI codeshare showing cheaper right above the exact same flights, except with AC numbering.

*nods* I don't know why it's cheaper to buy from the American site. My fiance and I do that now too.
