Just noticed a sale with air canada.......Book by Feb 12 for flights up to Oct 31st.

Halifax/Moncton to Orlando is $203 + taxes each way......not too bad I guess

Thank you, I have been waiting for another sale, so I can book flights to BC for the summer.

I'm wondering if I should book that too....I've been watching prices and they've all been right around there. I don't know if I should bit the bullet and book this for my May trip or sit for a bit more and see what happens. Oh the anxiety of it all!!!!!!!!!!

I just found that in my email, too. I was checking prices yesterday for Ottawa to St John's in July and it was nearly $3K for four of us! Today it is $1682. ($149. each way plus tax). It kills me to even pay that much (especially since I can't stand going there).

Historically, are WestJet's sale prices better, worse, or about the same. Should I wait for West Jet or book now?

I have been watching prices as well. We're going in August, but now I'm trying to decide if the 4/3 deal is better than the predicted FD. There are 5 of us so I'm thinking FD would be better. I'll have to price it out.

This deal with AC is not as good as the one before Xmas but that was too far out for me to commit.

Decisions, decisions....

Hmmm, maybe not quite as good, but $632 CAN PP return YEG to MCO, isn't too bad in the current climate, either.:)

I'll just add that united.ca has similar prices to MCO from YEG also through to Oct. 31.

Yes, United and northwest air have YWG to MCO return for under $500 but two plane stops! egads.

Just checked the Westjet site, seems that their seat sale is 50% off. I was changing dates around for a trip sometime in september, and by default, all dates but the date I queried were 352$ for 1 way flight, but the date you have selected (and from what I can tell this can be any date) they offer a seat sale rate of 179$ per flight direction.

EDIT: This rate was for Winnipeg to Orlando, w/ 1 x 1hour stop in Toronto.

8:00 PM and West Jet now has the same fares.:happytv: So much for competition.

So they do! I just grabbed the Aug flights we needed for our nephew's wedding in St. Catharines. $145 each way Edmonton to Hamilton. :cool1:

Now for that Christmas Disney World trip....:scratchin

Before Christmas West Jet had a 50% off sale. Got Moncton to Orlando and return for $179.00/per way. First time ever flying and I was worried I might not have gotten a good price, but looking on here, seems like I got a pretty good deal.

I got YYZ to YLW on the direct flight for $165 each way:cool1: I could have gone from Waterloo on West Jet with a connection for less but it arrives after midnight Eastern time so that is a bit late for the kids. I was checking the price last week and it was going to be over $2400 and this is $1400.

Now that WestJet is the same price, which airline do you recommend? I don't fly much within Canada but I here good things about West Jet. Anybody want to share their preferences?

While I like WJ just fine, I've never had an issue with AC either. I decide based on destination, times etc. When we fly to Ontario we need to be in the Niagara region so Hamilton is more convenient, thus we fly WJ. Elsewhere, it depends on price times connections, etc.

Out of the past 4 times I've flown, 3 were AC and 1 was WJ. On the first AC flight, what was supposed to be a 2 hour flight ended up being 7 hours (no exaggeration, we went, hovered over, then turned back, and did it again, due to bad weather). On the return flight our second time, they didn't have enough headphones for the entire plane. And this was from England to Toronto. No entertainment for the entire ride. Most recently, the entertainment system itself did not work. Luckily this was only a 2 hour flight, but it was still a drag without movies. When we flew WJ, absolutely no problems.
