My sister won tickets with Air Canada, and we booked for Florida for a very short shopping trip. Her sister in law then booked tickets to fly with us. The trip was scheduled to be for about 2 days, 3 days with the travelling. This means we had arrival day, (landing at MCO around 11:30 am), one full day, then departure day (leaving MCO at around 1:30 pm). All was fine, as there were many reasons for keeping the trip short. Now my sister and her DSIL would like to add another day. For our tickets, it is a straight $50 change fee each, but I'm confused about the SIL ticket. I understand we would need to pay the change fee and the difference in price. I am just curious if only pay the difference on the arrival end as we do not want to change the flight leaving MCO. Can I just change the one end? Thanks.

Yes, you are correct. You only pay the fare difference on the leg(s) which you change. The fare difference only applies if there are no more seats in the fare class you originally booked and there has not been a price change in that fare class. I fly twice weekly for work and in most cases when I've had to change my flights, there has been no fare difference (when I stay in the same fare class). Other times however, the fare difference has been significant. Good luck!

Thanks, now to figure out what to do!

What if you want to change the airport you are arriving and departing at and want to possibly even change the date with AC. I have a Tango Plus ticket. Is it 50 bucks for every change on each leg? What if it is a code share flight with United?
