Just wanted to let people know that Air Canada has made some flight changes in their schedule. My direct Montreal to Orlando flight in December was canceled. The return flight times have been changed by a couple of hours too.

I learned last year on the DIS of Air Canada flight changes so I thought I would share the info to help others. Air Canada does not seem to contact you about these changes.

I had just finished making my ADR's for our two week Christmas trip. Now I need to redo some things to accomodate the changes.

I had the same problem with AC last year. MY flight time changed 3 times for my inbound flight and 2 times for the outbound flight. The original flight time leaving was 7pm and the last change was 11am.

and counting - already! ...and our flight doesn't leave until February! LOL

Originally, we booked YUL routing...we've been changed to YYZ, back to YUL, and now we're out of YYZ again, from YHZ.

We'll see how it all ends up;)
...and nope, we're not checking luggage!! :teeth:

I guess I'm lucky because AC notified me by e-mail a few weeks ago about changes to our Nov. flight. Sounds like I should keep double checking.

mbb, you'll need to put some sort of GPS tracking system on your bags. hehehe :teeth:

We are travelling via SkyService next week and they have also changed our flights as well.
It was a 9am flight.... now it is a 7am flight going. And on the way back it was an 11am flight... now it's 3pm....

Check and double check! And verify your seat assignments too - just in case there has been an equipment change:)

...and have fun!!

Our flight had changed but not by much. The only thing is that I dropped into TA office last week and wouldn't have known otherwise....AC never contacted me. Flight leaving NL changed to 5:15pm from 5:00pm only 15 minutes and return from Orlando now leaving 1:30pm instead of 12:30pm (we'll now get to do a later breakfast & not feel so rushed).

Same thing happened to us last Jan and this coming Jan. I check online and if I see any changes in times, flights or aircraft I contact Air Canada as they have not contacted me. I had to re-book flights that were gone and seats.

Check and double check

Hi All,

I have had a problem with schedule changes every time we have flown Air Canada. They do major changes in Feb, May, Oct/Nov each year. I can't say I appreciate it as it sometimes leasves you little or no flexibility like you had when you orginally booked. For instance, if you book a character breakfast the day of departure because you don't leave until 3pm and then they change your departure to just before 8am! We are flying them to Boston and then picking up JetBlue for the remainder of the trip to MCO in 3 weeks. We used to have 2.5 hours to get organized, they changed their schedule about 3 weeks ago and now we only have 1h45m...so lots of running. Booked JetBlue, same time, and NO changes.

Personally I avoid Air Canada if possible. I think the service and attitude of that airline is terrible. I can not figure out how they can win "Best North American Airline" ?!?! If they are the best, we are in trouble! lol

Regs,

CJM

We booked our flights with points, but are flying AC. I wonder if we will be notified by our points travel agent or AC if there are any changes. I guess I will have to keep checking. A few hours one way or the other can ruin a whole days plans.

We booked with points too...and we've received regular updates..give them a call, and ask if they have your email on file:)

Call first thing in the morning - if you're on the east coast ..6:30 or 7am gets you right through:)

Good luck!!

I just received an email today to advise our flights had changed for December. I think it's the first time I have ever had them notify me of a change. They were tickets on my points.

Maybe luck of the draw but I got an e-mail and a phone call at my office about our flight changes in November. And I think the time was only 1/2 an hour later. I probably wouldn't even have noticed!!
