Hello,
I got an airbrushed tan today. I have lost most of the weight I want to loose- but I am pale and I have all these varicose veins and stretch marks!
Anyway it was kind of weird. They told me I could go nude or wear a swimsuit or underwear. I didn't want to go nude (I am way too up tight for that) And I didn't want bra strap marks- so I went to Target and bought a cheap bandeau top style bikini (I will not be wearing it in public)
I went in and they told me to put on the bikini and gave me a damp towel to wipe off any makeup, lotion, or deodorant. It interferes with the absorbtion of the tanning stuff.
Then they put some heavy moisturizer type stuff on the palms of my hands and on my fingernails and my heels. (so the tan won't stick there)
Then she starts spraying. It was just like the airbrush things you see at t-shirt places. She had to get pretty close to me- so it was a bit unnerving. I am wondering if she is thinking how unattractive I am and noticing places I missed shaving or what.
It takes a while and I have to lift my arms a move around for her.
Then she gives me a hair dryer and tells me to dry myself off with it for about 5 minutes. Especially the places that will be rubbed by clothing.
She said it would last about 7 days and that I was not to shower for 8 hours. It has the typical smell of the self tanners.
It looks good I think. Takes some of the notice of the veins and stuff.
I also have tan lines- which I think are kind of sexy.
I am not sure I would do this before going to the beach (It won't last long if you are getting wet and rubbing it a lot)
I would however do it before a party or high school reunion or something like that. It was 25.00. plus tip.
Part of the reason I am mentioning it here is that I thought it would be a good NON FOOD way to reward yourself.
