I simply do not want to hear a negative thing about this trip.

So, I've decided to hide out at The DIS and share all my pre-planning with those who understand the need to "over share."

Travel dates: May 5th, 2015 through May 14th, 2015.

• May 5th-6th - Travel days with mid-afternoon arrival at POP! on the 6th
• May 6th-13th - Onsite at POP!
• May 13th-14th - Travel days with evening arrival home

Im a Disney World trip newbie, and have made the mistake of telling a few (maybe 3 people) that I was planning our DD birthday trip and I have heard enough negativity that it is now a secret. I am all ears for advice to better the trip but I'm too excited to let others no fun comments ruin this for our families.

So to you all who are excited like I am

I have learned that some people simply don't get it. I am very blessed to have my best friend understand and she's just a smidgen behind me in her love of WDW. I get tired of hearing about how expensive it is, how come I don't go somewhere else, etc. etc. etc.

My best advice is to get the book The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. Then draw from that to get more advice from The DIS.

Today I booked the room!

I customized our Magic Bands!

I got ADRs for 3 restaurants we wanted: Boma, 50s PrimeTime, and Biergarten.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to throw anymore table service restaurants in our trip. I really wanted Be Our Guest, but it's filled for dinner service. Hoping that something opens up OR I get a FP+ for a lunch.

I love the title of this thread lol I was in the same boat when I took my first solo trip. I live in SW FL so I'm at disney every few months in the fall and winter then I take a break over the summer. I stopped talking to people about it and it was kind of weird how the comments flipped.

When I talked about it I got all the negative comments and opinions. When I stopped talking to people about it they began to ask me questions and then a few have started to plan trips themselves.


as far as dining reservations go, I like to make a few and then a few days before my trip I decide if I want to keep them or not. It's better to have them booked and not need them/cancel them then wish you had booked them and they're not available.

I've had some people ask advice after rolling their eyes at me....I still help, though, because I want people to have a good time and maybe they'll feel a bit like I do. Or, at least understand my enthusiasm.

Just about to go on my third trip to Disney in 12 months (one was work related) but when you are flying from the UK people think you are mad.

I just sketch over the details and say I am going to be away for a week or so.

How old is your little?

My little is currently 4 and will be the day we arrive. Her birthday is the day after. I was a little random/crazy, had no idea what went into planning a DW trip , and booked 67 days until our arrival. that seriously was my face when I found out what I did. haha! I am just so excited because this is my first time ever, and will be experiencing it with her.
