I know it's early, but I am EXCITED!
We booked this cruise while on-board this February. Anyone else going? Looking forward to meeting my fellow cruisers!

Ahoy there matey, we will be on the same cruise. There are 8 of us in three cabins. Looking forward to this break in the winter months.

Well that sounds great. Wasaga Beach, ON. Boy the world is small. My husband is Canadian. His family lives on Georgian Bay between Collingwood and Thornbury. We took our kids to Wasaga last August and had a blast. Sounds like you have quite a posse. This is our second cruise, we rebooked while onboard this last February.

This one will be our fourth. We sailed in July 2007, Jan 2008, will be saqiling Oct 2008 and then this one, Feb 2009.
This cruise is with my wifes family.:scared1:

Looks like you are sans kids. We have two DS (4) and DD (5). Last cruise we had hoped to have some adult time, but our DS, who is exceptionally shy, would have none of it (Oceaneer's Club that is). He lasted 1 hour then they had to page us. :rotfl: We saw it coming though!... Since he starts preschool in the fall, we are hoping that he will adapt better and maybe we can do some adult activities. ::yes::

Our kids on this cruise will be older. DS 18, DD 18, DS 16. They will be in one cabin. My wife and I are in one, and my wifes Mother, brother and sister are in the other. We are on deck 6, but I wish the MIL was on deck 1....LOL, just kidding.:rotfl2:

We are on deck 7. Basically across from where we stayed. DH is not a Disney-phile but I am working on him... I just emailed him that there are Canadian's on board. He keeps telling me that you guys are taking over.... (How many times can an American watch Canadian Bacon?:rotfl2: )

We will be there too! There are 10 of us in 3 cabins...

We are very excited, but we are keeping it from the kids at this point. I think it will be a Christmas surprise!!! (if I can stand it that long!!!)

Hello Ladyw/the TrampThat is great! What a surprise. I told my munchkins when we were on board in Feb about the next time...they keep complaining...it's too far away...:)

So you've sailed in February before? What is the temperature like? Was it too cold to swim? I know it's mostly just luck, but I wondered what your experience was...

February seemed like the best choice for us with school and extra-curricular activites... plus it doesn't hurt that it's less expensive than the other times!!!

We are also going to be in the parks for the 3 days before the cruise... It's going to be new to us to only be spending 3 days... we are used to going for a week or more!!!

Yes we sailed this Feb. You must consider the source - me - growing up in So California, I think it is cold when the temp goes below 70 deg, so for me it was cool. When we sailed it was around 65 deg in FL (but it was -8 in Chicago that day so I was very happy :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ). It was a bit windy too. Regardless the pools on the day of sail and the evening were full. The waves were choppy enough that the water was splashing over the edges, esp in the Goofy pool... but the kids in there were having an awesome time... In the Bahamas it was very nice as was Castaway Cay - in the high 70's, low 80's. Our day on CC was also rather windy (they wouldn't let anyone raise the umbrellas), but it was very nice. The water was indeed cool for me, but not for my kids and most of the other children as well. I think we will continue to choose late Jan/early Feb to sail because the prices are quite reasonable and it gets us out of the arctic Midwest. I definitely would recommend it, but I would go anticipating the ocean to be cool.

Still very much looking forward to our trip. We will be at WDW for 5 days before, so this is a very long trip for us. Cant wait. :thumbsup2

We cruised at the beginning of Jan last year. The weather was great. Warm and such, but the water was a bit cool for my liking, but the kids were in heaven. One of them spent the complete day, except for lunch, snorkeling off by himself.

The title of this thread staes the 9th of Feb. I am pretty sure we sail the 8th, which is the Sunday. I dont want to show up late for this cruise.......:lmao:

Hi folks, DM and I are looking at this date. We will be making the booking by the end of the month, we are hoping to add a night before and a couple of nights after at WDW.

DM is 60 this month and I am 33, we both love kids. I just did the 15 night Pan Can repo cruise and this would be a great way to reset my cruise clock, lol, will make it so much easier to do a 7 night in 2010 again.
