Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

I was reading a bunch of threads last night and it got me excited again. I have been so lethargic the last few months but I am getting better now. For those who don't know, I have Candida/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am doing my best to get my health back in check so I can feel good for the cruise. I want to be able to cheat a little on my diet too. Hopefully cruise excitement will help me stay on track with my health.

I am still holding on to the hope that some of the Christmas decorations will be up so we can do Christmas pictures.

Sending pixie dust that your health holds up! pixiedust:

I was reading the trip reports, driving myself nuts with excitement. I am sooo stoked for this trip!:jumping1:

I posted a thread asking about the decos...it looks like the terminal will be decorated with a slight chance of some of the ship being decorated...needing more pixie dust!!pixiedust:

I've been practicing my double digit dance too!:woohoo::dance3::cheer2::dancer:party::bounce:

I can't believe it's almost the 90 day mark! Time seems to be flying!

Question...Does Palo offer anything other than dinner on the 3 day (brunch, tea)? DH and I did dinner last time and were not impressed so I won't be doing it again but would love to try brunch!

Ok... need to perk up this link a bit... whatcha all doin?? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Just enjoying rest of summer. School starts the 24th here. My oldest dd has been dealing with middle ear infections since mid July. Had to take her back in today and now she has bilateral swimmers ear.:sad2:
Glad we are in the double digits.... Looking into getting passport pictures taken this week so I can get them taken care of.

so what's new in your neck of the woods:surfweb:?

Not a lot going on this way. I have been watching my niece's during their summer break and doing some FE planning. Other than that it's been pretty quiet.

I think I found my own answer about Palo Brunch. It's only offered on 4 days and up :guilty:. Speaking of Palo...everyone has given it such great reviews and I guess the "magic" just wasn't there for DH and I. We were not at all impressed with it. After we were finished we headed down to Animators to meet our tablemates for coffee and had a better time there than we did the whole time at Palo. I loved the atmosphere but our order was wrong multiple times, wasn't all that great once it was right, and they lost our wine :scared1:

Crazy busy summer here. Just one more week till school starts. We were just going to go for the cruise, now we have added some WDW days to the trip. The kids were just going to miss 2 half days for our trip(parent teacher confrences) but the state voted to get rid of all half school days after we had booked the trip. So, whats a few more days??:rotfl:
So once school is back in I will be able to catch up on old threads.

Hi Everyone!
The Palo dinner experience didn't look like something we wanted to try either but brunch did until I realized they didn't offer it on the 3 day:mad:
Again I am wishing for the billionth time that this cruise were LONGER:rolleyes:
Plus, we have such a fun crowd here we could easily go for a week!:dance3:
Oh well. We finally booked airfare, reserved a rental car and are trying to decide if we want to do the Space Center or Sea World. DH is so excited about the Space Shuttle:banana:
Does anyone know exactly how many days we have left?:) We do a countdown everyday at my house:thumbsup2

98 days! We have been talking about a countdown, but haven't done anything specific yet. The one year we made paper chains. We are doing Discovery Cove and Sea World(also WDW). The Space Center sounds great too! I'm waiting for Disney hours to come out. Must be hard for those going Nov 1st to figure out dining without any schedule out. Hopefully they will be out soon.

Annette ~ I know what you mean. I really wanted to try brunch as well. I am kinda bummed about this :sad2:

Did everyone here the 2011 cruise schedule is going to be released in Sept (I think the 12th)? The schedule is going to be released during the D23 expo (according to disney website) which means.....WE CAN REBOOK WHILE ON BOARD...LYNN IS KEEPING HER FINGERS CROSSED FOR THE MEXICAN RIVIERA CRUISE

Well DH and I have decided to come in via Train instead of Plane. Hotel is already taken care of and car WAS taken care of but now I need to switch from Avis to Hertz...and Hertz is OUT OF THIS WORLD expensive. 84.00 each way :scared1: Avis was 89.00 both ways! Does anyone know of a good discount code for Hertz? I could really use some help.

try mousesavers.com ... that is where I got my Budget code.

I tried mousesavers there aren't any codes that really gave a significant discount. I got our Avis code on mousesaves which was an awesome deal but there doesn't seem to be a lot for Hertz :guilty:

Anyone heading to WDW... the Osborne Lights start Nov 10th this year.:cool1: Last year they moved them till AFTER Thanksgiving. So glad they are back before as this will probably be our last trip to WDW during the Christmas season for awhile.... The rest of the November hours are also posted for WDW.

Still debating. We won't be leaving Orlando until 7:30 pm on the 15th so I don't know what we are going to do all day. I think I may hit Seaworld...I am DYING to ride Manta!

Hey Everybody! We just got home last night from a camping trip. Let me just say that I am so thankful for my nice, cushy mattress! :worship: Sleeping on an air mattress for three nights -although it's better than sleeping on the ground - just doesn't work out all that well for me! :headache:

I must admit that I'm not in hyper-planning mode for this cruise right now. Shocking, I know! But with the camping trip we just returned from, my DS's 5th birthday only a week and a half away, and a new semester starting on the 24th I have way too much to do. Then once everything settles down a bit then I'll get freaky with the preparations! :rotfl:

Just a quick note: while on vacation I found an awesome new prodcut. It never fails, any time I go anywhere that involves a LOT of walking I get blisters on my feet. This happened on our last cruise as well. While picking up a few supplies at a KMart in Indiana, I found waterproof bandaids! These things are AMAZING! They truly stayed on while I played in Lake Michigan all day! For all you mommies out there - and those fashion-forward women that must buy at least one new pair of shoes for the upcoming cruise - BUY THESE bandaids! :thumbsup2 You'll LOVE 'em.

I am with you on the camping thing!! Sleep is one of my favorite pastimes. :goodvibes Does your little guy start kindergarten this year or is next??

I may be at Sea World on the 15th... although I am going more for the shows. My youngest in not much of a rider yet. Was hoping we would get to an amusement park this summer with one of her friends to try to get her to want to ride more. I am just trying to figure out what time could I estimate that we would get to Sea World if renting a car?? Anyone have a guess??

off to the bank to "hopefully" find all our birth certificates!!! :worship:

Lynn, are you AAA members?:confused3 I think they have a discount for Hertz. They have great hotel and restraunt discounts too. DH just got an app for his phone that shows where to locate all the AAA discounts. The man loves his toys!
I talked to my TA yesterday -they do not have anything to do with Sea World or the Space Center tho:sad2:

No we aren't AAA members :sad2:. I had thought about purchasing a membership anyway since DH is traveling more for work. I guess it would be a win win situation if I went ahead and joined.
