Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

DH and I think A Christmas Carol might be too scary for our 5 year old. We saw a trailer for it the last time we went to the movie theater and there are some pretty scary scenes - to a 5 year old. Especially the ones with the Ghost of Christmas Future who is the Grim Reaper. So DH & I may have to put the little guy in the Kid's Club while we watch it. But I definately want to see it!

Doing my Cruise Doc Dance!!!!:banana::banana:

Awesome movie choices, how will we ever have time????? Maybe there will be showings at like 10pm.... To do everything we want we need to not sleep!!!!

Hey guys,

Wanted to let you know I called DCL today about movies that will be playing. The CM advised that Toy Story 3D and A Christmas Carol will definitely be showing along w/a combination of: Race to Witch Mountain, UP, Bolt 3D, and The Proposal.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy, I so wanted A Christmas Carol to be playing. I also missed UP and Toy Story 3D - sounds like this is going to be a movie cruise.

My docs were here when I got home today

We are also looking forward to a little "movie" time, it has been a while since DH and I saw a movie together! Match your Mate sounds fun also:flower3:

OK guys, there is a thread out there that is talking about the November water temp in the Bahamas. A lot of people said it's to cold to swim! Has anyone cruised during November before and can chime in here? :confused3

I've read on the weather channel that the average temp for the water is between 72-74 degrees. That seems pretty good to me! lol. I have a pool and i think it gets a lot colder than 74 degrees. Besides, hopefully the sun will be blazing and we won't even realize how cold it is.

February has to be colder than November... what was the temp then???

Hey Guys!

I mailed the bracelets today. You guys should have them beginning/middle of next week. I was going to mail them on Monday however, when I received them the company had forgotten to imprint "Disney Wonder 11/12/09" on the back so they reprinted them and I got the new ones today.

If any of you would like the old one's (imprinted w/Got Dis? only) let me know and I will bring them with me when I come. Otherwise I am going to discard them as I have no use for them.

I'm from MN, but 72 is cold water temp. We had a bad summer and that is all the warmer the lake at my aunt's cabin got this year - IT WAS COLD. But, you know when your kids are bugging you, you get in.

Cool on the bracelets, thanks again.

It was FREEZING in February. But i do have to say, that I was determined to try snorkeling. The further we went out, the warmer the water got. I was out for about an hour and was quite comfortable. Dh was out for about 3 hours and never complained. It was laying on the beach later in the day when the wind blew in a cold front and I was freezing again. We gave up and went back to the ship.
I'm certainly hoping it is warmer this time. Still stalking the weather website...all signs are good...so far. Mid to upper 80's with lows in the upper 70's. THAT"S weather I can handle! lol

Loved the movie The Proposal....great chick flick! Dying to see A Christmas Carol w/Jim Carrey....I'm making time for that movie.

Hi everyone....just checking in...dying for a vacation. I'm very far behind on my scrapbooking...I think I will just take my stuff w/me and scrap a page as the day goes by on our vacation...that way I'm done when I get off the boat...LOL

Been very busy w/Boy Scout stuff...I haven't had any time to relax....but I am excited...I'm chairing the 100 year anniversary Adventure Tour event when it stops in Chicago...I may have to do some work on the boat while I'm there.

I need a bit of relaxation:beach:...a funny movie :happytv:...or a chick flick popcorn::a bahama mama :drinking1

Hey Wendy...How many people will be in our DIS meet photo....I know you counted....lol :rotfl:

I hope I can check in again....and I hope I can pack this weekend...still on my list is a bathing suit...change of unmentionables and a ribbon....for that xmas photo shoot....anyone else want in on that one???? LOL
