Hey Dana!! Hope you're having a good weekend, I started the May PTR, the link is in my siggie!!! Only 209 more days!! We went to Epcot yesterday and it was PACKED!!! Long lines for the food. But, it was fun!!

He does look tiny doesn't he . One of my co-workers asked me "The dog is on your new couch?" I said "Of course he is, he is my youngest child."

I had a pretty good weekend. I was so tired last night I thought I was coming down with something. Dale and I got out and did our regular Saturday stuff and then I had to take Dallas to my great nephew's birthday party and still had to stop at Target after the party. I got up this morning feeling much better; after 11 hours of sleep .

I can't wait to read more of your May PTR. Your nieces and nephews are too cute. I'm very jealous that you can just hop in the car and go to Disney for the day. I want to be able to do that so bad.

Our last day at Disney was to be Saturday, May 29th and I had made plans with Christie and Leanne for a meet at DTD. Dale, Dallas and I had breakfast at the food court and then headed over to DTD. It was to turn out to be one of the hottest days . Now for some unknown reason none of us took pictures today so I only have one or two that I took before we all met up.

OK that is it for the pictures .

Christie texted me that they had arrived so we set up a place to meet. Christie, her husband Chris, and their son Tyler met us and we walked over to The World of Disney to shop a little. We got a text from Leanne and we met up with her and her family and then headed to the Lego store. It was really nice to talk in a cool place as it was really hot outside. The kids all had a blast and I know the Lego store was happy we came in because I think every one of the kids ended up getting something....... Dale and Dallas were complaining that it was really hot and that they wanted to go back to the room . They left and I stayed.

We decided to eat at Earl of Sandwich. The place was PACKED. I had never eaten there before and it was pretty good. I think they could have a better system of ordering and delivering orders though. While we were eating it started STORMING, so we sat for a while and talked. I so LOVE my Dis friends . It is fun to sit and talk to people who have the same interests and don't think I'm such a nut for loving Disney so much . After the rain we shopped a little longer and it was time to part ways . Leanne and her family were flying out later in the evening, and Christie and her family were going to finish up some shopping at a different store. I bought a few more gifts for family and then caught the bus back to CBR.

The bus stop at DTD is really confusing. I didn't like that I had to walk behind building, like the service alley, to get to the buses. Me and another man were trying to find the bus stop and he said it was the stupidest system he had ever seen........... They really do need to mark it much better.

When I got back to the room we decided to pack up and load as much as possible in the car. We were not going back out to the parks because it was just too hot. We ordered pizza and salad for room delivery. After packing, loading, eating and showering we watched TV for a bit. Dale likes to get on the road early so we knew we needed to get some sleep.

SUNDAY, MAY 30

We were up at 3:00am, checked out at 3:20am and on the road by 3:30am. It really is much better when we leave this early because it puts us WAY ahead of the traffic and we get home with time in the day to spare. On our way home I was planning our next trip, which ya'll have already read about, for September.

FINAL THOUGHTS.
This was a good trip for us as we were able to meet up with some of my GREAT Dis friends. I really do feel blessed that I have met so many wonderful friends here. So here are my ups and downs and midways of the trip---

UPS-----Seeing my Dis friends and getting to meet some of them for the first time.

MIDWAYS----The food, hit or miss this trip. I have really rethought ever doing the DDP again as I hate paying the price they are now charging and the quality of the food going down: ie the new counter service burgers.

DOWNS---The heat. I think as I get older the heat bothers me more and more. Cooler months are really more in my league.

So now it is time to start a PTR for our December trip as it is fast approaching.

Nice update, Dana and final comments. We've learned to beat the heat is to drink lots of fluids, slip into shows to get out of the heat. But then we hate winter so much (being in Chicago it is VERY cold and snowy) that we just deal with the heat.

I'm so glad you got to meet so many DIS members. And can't wait to read all about your December trip.

YAAAAY!!! Yea, that was a pretty hot day, and that storm came out of nowhere!! LOL Yep, get on the ball with the december PTR, can't wait to see the plans for that one!!! I hope I can get off work to go to the MVMCP with you guys!! I need a good reason to wear my tigger santa hat!!! It's LOTS cooler down here now. It's perfect for florida. So this is a good time to come LOL

Thanks Kathy . You would think living in the south we would be more used to the heat. I guess we feel about the heat, like you do about the cold......

Thanks Connie . It was great to see everybody and I hope we can do it again SOON!!

I guess we have gotten so used to being under the A/C that being out in the heat is just more than we can stand. Dale works in the heat too and I think that is why he hates it so much. He feels that being on vacation means enjoying yourself and not dealing with the regular stuff. He would much rather stay in the room, in the A/C, than be sweating in the parks.

Awwwww, it's over. At least you know there's another trip in the works though.

Yeah, Lisa I FINALLY finished.... It was starting to draw on my nerves trying to keep up with what I had posted already and what I could remember..... I will have to do better at taking notes next time.

I am so glad that I got to meet up with my Dis buds too...including you . I know that I have made some true life friends here on the Dis; no matter how many miles there are between us .

Hi Dana!! I've been MIA from the DIS the past few months bbut I'm back and all caught up on your TR--now off to check out your PTR!! Oh--and ROLL TIDE!! The game Saturday was great--I always love a TN win especially since we live in TN and have to deal with so many fans!!
