ahhhhhhh

The one I have open right now IS a Riesling from Idaho -- Ste. Chappelle 2005. :goodvibes :goodvibes but I think there are other varieties as well (including reds) including some real tasty ones from New York State and eastern Canada. they are all dessert wines -- sweet but generally pretty complex in spite of that.

Have you tried Fro-Zin? It's an icewine process with zinfandel grapes. It's made by Meeker vinyards in Geyserville, CA. It's a fantastic dessert wine, and it's unbelievable with chocolate.

It's AWESOME! I discoverd it at a "Party for the Senses" at the Food and Wine Festival a few years back. It's now a staple in our wine cabinet.

We've also used it at parties to make "Fro-zinis". Vodka, Fro-Zin in a martini glass rimmed in dark chocolate. TO. DIE. FOR. :thumbsup2

My fave dessert wine is Rosa Regale

Hey, we have a bottle of that on our shelf. ::yes::

Dessert, eh? Might just give it a try for that. We tend to go with a late harvest reisling, port, or a sauternes for dessert. Wasn't too sure what to do with a sparkling rose.

It's always described as ~"a wine that can pair with chocolate"
I think it works with flavored body jell too ;)

In addition to being desserty, Rosa Regale can be used in place of a Kir Royale as a pre-dinner drink. Especially on a warm evening, on the patio. It's a very similar taste profile to a Kir, without having to stock the creme de casis.

...And there's the body-gel thing too. :thumbsup2

A Kir Royale, really? Hmmmm... do you sense the hesitation... Little Miss Fussy Pot here doesn't quite see how, but will certainly give it a try.

After all, we have the bottle so we will definitely be trying it some time.

On the lanai around the pool... might just work...

Does it compare with champagne and chambord? I like that if the champagne is brut... ::yes::

It's probably closer to Asti and chambord, honestly. It's on the "light and fruity" side. I love buying a glass at the wine store at Epcot's Italian Pavillian and sitting on their piazza and sipping it as people walk buy. (of course I also like to get a glass of red, or a shot of limoncello and do the same thing. :rotfl: )

... and it's molto bello in your glass.
Like a sparkly ruby! :goodvibes

OK. Sounds do-able. :D

Yep, we love to people watch at EPCOT too. ::yes::

Can I please have a big ole Desert Pear Margarita?

It's supposed to be "date night", but Corey just landed coming in from TX, so I doubt that she will be up for a trip to Longhorn being that she has been traveling for over 8 hours today and still has a good 2 hours left before she makes it home.

Here ya go babe - At least you almost wanted to do something! Cheapo Chris didn't want to go anywhere!

Yum! That's got just enough kick to keep me happy until Corey gets home. :thumbsup2

Corey and I usually have a Friday night date night. This week due to her travel schedule, it just didn't work out. We didn't get our date night last week because we had short notice on her Dad and step-mom coming to visit, so it was a clean and cook night. I will say that if I don't get a date night next Friday, then I might just go off the charts into Grumpyland.

Lindy in Grumpyland.....hmmm.....sounds like a children's movie, but it's so going to need to be rated R with my pottymouth. :lmao:

At least you get date night LOL I get dinner on Saturday's with Chris and his Mother!!!:confused3
