I swear I live and work with the biggest drama queens (and king counting my husband). One girl I work with takes her baby to the doctor at least once a week. If that baby cries...well something is dreadfully wrong. Now this was a full term, good size baby never been sick in 3 months but she lives at the doctor's office. And it is not just a simple "Hey leaving to take baby to doctor again". No it is a big production, tears, hysterics. And then every other thing is a soap opera in her life. Now I had a sickly baby but honestly the only time I got hysterical was when the neighbor called and said my husband had taken him to the ER in an ambulance when he was 2. Of course I was hysterical being at work, stuck in rush hour traffic. Turned out to be only a febrile seizure and it scared DH. If I had been there I would have known how to handle it but I am generally cool headed in a crisis.

Then my husband swears something is wrong all the time with him. He has a brain tumor, heart attack, diverticulitis, etc. Anyone know the Woody Allen character he plays who always thinks he is dying..that is my husband. Then another coworker cries at the drop of a hat over everthing and nothing. Then hubby calls and someone he works with saw our son last week and says he looks horrible. Now I know that is not what he said but that is what my husband perceives. DS is 20, 6'4" about 208. He is trying to get in good shape so he can try to join the Coast Guard. He has always been skinny but when he reached puberty he put on some pounds and was never fat but a little thick. He hated it. He is taking control of his life, eating right, exercising, etc. DH on the other hand used to be skinny as did I and of course we have put on some weight over the years. I don't know if DH is jealous or what but then his family is full of drama every day too so I guess it is genetic.

I am so sick of the drama. Thanks for letting me vent.

Yowsers!
the co worker with the baby: is it her first one? sometimes new moms can be a little freak out at everything.

As for your DH: good gracious I couldn't handle a man acting like that. He has learned that behavior from his family and it's been allowed by people.

A big hug to you, after awhile other people's stuff will grate on your nerves. My DM77 does this fake crying thing and people who dont know that she has ALWAYS done this will go : "Oh poor older lady". Um, no she is dong it to either get her way or get attention, she learned that from her DM. However, when everyone is gone who enabled her to act like that, it isn't fun for the ones who don't put up with it.
