Oh, I am so mad right now!
I made lunch for DSs, they were going to eat and then we were going iceskating. I came in here to Dis real quick and DH was fixing something in the bathroom. DS called down to me and asked if he could have a piece of his Halloween Candy. I asked if he finished lunch and he said yes. I had promised him some candy earlier because he helped me clean, but I told him he had to wait until after lunch. So, Im thinking everything is great when I hear DH find DS's lunch in the trash! He threw it out thinking he could get away with having candy. I should also say that last week we found him sneaking some m&ms right before dinner too. Of course Im bull now with this sneaking & lying stuff and I threw out half of the candy(his stuff), now hes in tears, and I dont see us going skating which starts in 1/2 hour.
ARGH! The joys of parenthood!

I'm SO GLAD my kids are grown!! ;)
Grandchildren are much easier!!!

Well my 9yo dd is upstairs having a complete meltdown. We're supposed to go to the country to meet her dad and brother and she doesn't want to go. She never likes to go, too boring for her, but she's never acted like this. I'm so angry right now, I had to walk away from her. But if she slams one more door.......

It's hard being a parent sometimes...not an easy job. I remember the days of lying (ds still complains that he can't get away with anything with me, I always knew when he was lying) and the being sneaky days (these are likely to become more frequent as your kid gets older) and I recall a few slammed doors too. Hope your day gets better.

I'm coming over too Dan! ;)

My 4 yo wants a NEW family and my 6 yo is tired of sharing a bedroom!

My 5 yo decide to trim her beautiful, long red hair this morning! She was supposed to be cutting out paper dolls, but decided that while Mommy was out of the room, she do a little trim to the front of her hair! Its not too bad, but I've made an appt. with the hairdresser to get it evened out. Yes, AHHHHH kids!!

Sorry to hear about all you other frustrated parents, but its good to know we are not alone. I guess this comes with the territory.
On a happy note, I just found out my parents got home early from what they were doing today and my mother offered to watch the kids so DH & I can go out to dinner alone. Woohoo!!! We really need this tonight. :Pinkbounc

My dd has calmed herself down and is accepting that she's going. So everything is ok here too.

See everyone Monday :)
