Ahhhhh-fun on day one!

We got to Anaheim last night. We went to Downtown Disney, and had supper at ESPN. Thanks to a tip on here, I had printed off a coupon from the ESPN site and got us 80 free points to use on the games. We ate supper, then played games, it was fun. Then we went to Build a Bear, and the kids had a great time doing that. If you ever plan on it, it is great, but leave at least an hour to do it! Then we went to the entry plaza and watched the fireworks from there. Couldnt see alot-but still nice.
Then to the hotel to relax!! Couldn't sleep though-too excited!

Today was the first day in Disneyland! We used EE, but didn't get in until 9:20. We went to Astro Orbitors first, neat ride. Then to Space Mountain--it was awesome! Even DS7 loved it! Then we went to Autopia--had to wait about 25 minutes. Longest wait of the day.
Then headed over to HH-very cool with the Christmas overlay.
POTC-fun like always.
BTMRailroad-a family favorite.
Jungle Cruise-so fun! Got wet, sprayed by the elephant!
Indiana Jones I loved--very neat ride. DS7 hated it! Said it was the scariest ride ever!
Splash Mountain-we got our fast passes, came back to ride it, and it was having techincal difficulties. So we had to wait until the evening to ride it, when it was up and going again.
Lunch at Hungry Bear-chicken sandwiches. The kids had a great time feeding the ducks!
Matterhorn was fun too.
Gadget Coaster, lots of fun.
The kids got to steer the Mark Twain Riverboat-that was lots of fun for the kids. My son thought he was really steering it! So cute!
Had an afternoon snack, ice cream, cotton candy and churros-yummy!
We staked out a seat about 5:15 for the 6:30 Christmas parade. I left the family there and went and got us pizza. Brought it back and ate it there. That is definately the way to do it! Good chance to rest our tired feet!
Then we just waited there for the fireworks. They are.....AMAZING!!!
I didn't think it was very sunny out, but see now that I have a tan on my arms and my cheeks are red!
Ride wait times were around 10 minutes each.
A CM we talked to estimated the park to be at about 30,000 today.

We are exhausted, we did 18 rides today, one parade, and fireworks. Did lots of walking.
But we had an awesome day! Can't wait till CA tomorrow!!!

WOW - you all sure got A LOT of rides in on your first full day there - AWESOME!

Funny you mentioned the line at Autopia. It's usually one of the longest lines we wait in too at DL (along with Splash Mountain), but many times the longest lines we wait in are for food!
Oh, and don't forget to ride Star Tours - your DS will like that one - and it usually has a very short line too.

Keep everyone updated with more details as they unfold. I'd say keep "me" updated, except I'll be down there!!!
