:lmao:Okay...So, when I was little I had this Mickey Mouse doll(about 2 1/2 feet tall) that read stories and sang songs when you put the cassette tapes in his back.

Apparently he started talking in the middle of the night(I don't remeber it now, but I still have the fear of him). I made my parents take it away and they kept it this whole time! Like 19 years! They kept him in the creepy laundry room and every so often I would find him propped up in different places to scare me. They did this to me my WHOLE life! I mean, I would come home for curfew at 1 am my senior year and there he'd be!

I wouldn't take him with me when I moved out, but they STILL kept him. I went to pick up my husband from basic training and my children stayed with them. Well my mother let my kids play with him and my daughter LOVES this thing. I still wouldn't take him...and when I moved my family to Texas I didn't take him either.

Well...............I just got a UPS delivery....GUESS WHO?!

CREEPY MICKEY!!! With a note that says:

I'll follow you wherever you go...I love you Cassie! You'll never get rid of me!

Yeah...As much as I love Mickey...this thing is still scarey!

***UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER***

Totally thought DH got rid of it during one of his purges of the playroom since I haven't seen it in a while.

Well Dh is sending some foot lockers home. so I went to organize our spare room and make sure there is space...Went to pull a dufflebag down and realized there was something in it....YEP...MICKEY!!!:scared1::lmao:

I give up...

YARD SALE!!!!!

I swear if that had been me that thing would go back in its box till I had a yard sale then he would be GONE.

You gotta love parents with a sense of humor and extra time on their hands!

Right!? Ugh...no...I decided to suck it up and let my kids have it. It just stays in the playroom! LOL...I has no batteries and no tapes, so if it DOES talk, then we'll have some serious problems!:lmao:

That's really funny. Sorry he creeps you out but what a funny thing your parents have done.

 I'm so sorry that you're not doing the postal dance. You have however given me an idea for Sleep and Snore Ernie that has been banished to the basement for the past 10 or 11 years. :rotfl2:

OMG, that is hilarious....when you go back to visit them you should take "Creepy Mickey" back to them and hide it someplace with a note that says he missed them and he wanted to come back home.....LOL

When you become parents you get certain benefits. I have several things that my kids think are long gone. when the time is right we get the privilege of embarrassing them. Had your parents ever said "that will come to haunt you someday.' I guess it was that day! I think it was great!! You will get to do this years down the road., for all the things your Kids have done that have drove you crazy. Pay Back is sweet.

:rotfl::rotfl: I like this idea.

I thought it was pretty funny!

And what a better place to share my story than with the people who love the Mouse(the NOT scary one) on the DISboards!:dance3:

Watch out! It may still talk!

When I was a kid I had a remote control car that would make engine noises, horn, etc.... At night it would talk!! :scared1: Very faint and couldn't quite make out the words, but it did talk. Took out the batteries and everything and it still talked!:scared1:

Turns out that it was somehow picking up the CB's from trucks. We lived about 100 yards or so from the PA Turnpike! :headache:

i love this! My mom has done the same with many of the toys i had as a child. Only one thing has happened. I spend a lot on UPS sending silly things back that seem to keep coming back with my DD.

So, true story, that same Mickey is sitting on DS's bed right now!! I had it, too, and found it in the garage recently, and he loves it.

LOL! I figured SOMEONE on here would have one too! LOL...has the eyes on yours turned yellow yet?

 No, not yet. Ours doesn't have tapes or batteries, either, but DS loves that oh-so-cuddly-hard-plastic-fur-covered thing. He'd probably go NUTS if I could get it to work.

I LOVE the fact that your parents would leave him out waiting for you if you broke curfew. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I had a friend who had a running joke with her family. One time her mother left a white sock in her room that didn't have a partner. She left it for her mom, 'cause it wasn't hers. This went back and forth, I believe sometimes including her dad and brother. Well at her wedding, her mom went around and gave random people one white sock to give her when we went up to give our envelopes. Her mom went first and they laughed about it. Then, periodically, someone else would come up and have a white sock. It was really fun being in on the family joke. :)
