My dd (3) was talking to DH on my cell phone last night, and I haven't seen it since. I tried calling it, and it's got to be dead, as it was almost out of batteries last night. Of course, since I keep asking dd where it is, she has been a great help.... :sad2:

So, after 2 hours of looking, I'm giving up, and deeming myself cellphoneless. It's amazing how much you depend on those things - you don't realize it until they are gone!!!! :rolleyes2

Oh, I remember those days :) OK, let's try to think of where she might have put it. At that age my DD liked to put things into other things, like inside the VCR, fridge, play kitchen, cupboards, I'm sure you've already checked the couch cusions. Anyone else got ideas? toy box? Let us know where you finally find it!

Well, we tore apart her room, and nothing. (Of course, there were some long lost toys that SHE was at least happy to see we found!!)

I've checked the beds, the garbage cans, the drawers. (Of course, the couches too...) Still, nothing. It's amazing me, too. OUr house is actually spotless - I cleaned top to bottom this past weekend, so it's not like there is a bunch of clutter everywhere.

And to think we were getting ready to head out to Target to have her cash in her gift cards from her birthday for toys she wanted. Hmmmm, don't think that's gonna happen.....

That sucks. I really hope you find it. You're right about taking them for granted until you lose them.

Look inside anything that has a compartment or lift up lid. I lost my keys for days and found them in the little compartment with a lift up lid in my son's little ride on car. good luck, did you check the hamper.

I also recommend looking inside things. My SIL couldn't find her phone for days and found it inside a cooler on the deck! My nephew put it there.

Also, maybe make a game out of it with her...."Who's gonna find the phone? Where's the phone" in a sing song voice and maybe she'll bring you to it.

There is also reverse psychology: "Oh you don't know where Mommy's phone is. No you don't. You can't find it I'm sure." Maybe that'll work.

Good luck and of course, keep us posted!

These are great!! We are trying the game right now. "Whoever finds mommy's phone first gets a prize...." I just don't know where to look anymore!!!

I've already called Verizon. I have a feeling I'll be ending up there today...

Just an update...still no cell phone. How in the world could it possibly be THAT hidden?????

So, I'll try again in the morning, and if not, looks like I'm heading to Verizon tomorrow afternoon.

BTW, dd has been great helping me look. Now if she could just REMEMBER where she put it!!

you've probably already tried this, but call it. follow the ring. if you hear no ring either
a. its dead
b. its broke
c. its not in hearing distance

So, any luck yet? I can't wait to hear where it could be...and you know it will turn up, as soon as you get a new one! ;)

Hi mookie :wave2:
My dd who is almost 9 yrs. old will do this kind of thing to her glasses. She'll take them off in hte house when she comes home from school or anywhere we are out and she'll just place them anywhere and she won't put them back in her glass case! In fact, yest we had to search for her glasses in the house after we came home. She gives me this look :confused3 when I asked about where she put her glasses. I know last time I saw them on her face. I tried to get her to help me hunt for them, but she didn't want to cooperate  . After about 15 min, I found her glasses under the kitchen table.

Hope you can find your cell phone soon!

My daughter had "stuff" bags. Whenever we couldn't find find anything we'd check out Catie's bags and there it would be. Kids are so good at hiding things, you never know where it will show up.

Hi Melissa -

Does Madison have any purses that she could have put the phone in? Katie has play purses and it's amazing what I find in them sometimes

Good Luck!!!!

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

Still no luck yet. I went to Verizon and got a new phone. It ended up costing me 100.00 with a 50.00 mail in rebate. I'm now just waiting for the old one to show up.

But I think she learned a lesson. The same day we went and got my new phone, we also went to Target so she could use some of the gift cards she got for her birthday. Well, she picked out a really cute multi-colored carebear. We came home, she took a nap (and took it with her at naptime), and by dinnertime, it was missing too!! We have searched the house for it, and can't find that, either. I think she has a secret hiding spot that even SHE forgets about...and down the road we'll find all of our lost treasures... ;)

Thanks, Slo for the purse suggestion (Hi, BTW!! :wave2: ). My friend said the same thing. We checked them all, and still found nothing.

When my cell phone shows up, I'll definitely post. There is no way it won't come up sooner or later! I'm just curious to see how long it will be before we find it...

So, any sign of the cellphone yet? I can't wait to hear where it may be!!!

Funny you should ask. Nothing.

I've even been doing spring cleaning, and so far it hasn't turned up. It's the biggest joke in our house...DH thinks I was just trying to get a new cell phone out of the deal!! :smooth:

ds12 did the same thing with my car keys when he was about 2. A month later I found them inside a box of baking soda in the pantry! I'd looked on all the shelves, behind boxes, etc, just never thought to actually pick up the baking soda box and shake it.

aww that sucks, i wonder where she hide it at lol

Maybe she threw it in the trash...if you don't find it, that's probably where it went!
