Been thinking about heading to Disney a lot lately. We were there May of 05 and had a blast. We left my then 2 year old DD at home Was thinking of either going this year in October for Halloween or December for Christmas with the whole family. Hoping my dd( 4) is old enough to enjoy it. However I was taking a peek at Southwest and flights are so cheap right now I am getting the Disney bug BAD!!! LOL I am now thinking that May is looking really good again. AGGGGGGGGG!!!! I can't decide what to do. What is the best time to visit?? We stayed in Disney last time but was thinking I might rent a condo or house this time and take in Universal as well as Disney and maybe even Sea World. Ok now my head is spinning LOL I will never get to sleep. I do have to wait until Monday to check when with the kids school . My 2 ds's are in grade 3 and 6 and both have EQAO testing this Spring.

To be honest My wife and I went in May, Also in October for Halloween and December, Loved all the times, but we loved December for chirstmas time the best. We went the First full week in December, between the temp. the small crowds and the decorations and light displays it was perfect. We are making plans to go back to WDW in December every year now.

P.S. Have fun, WDW is addicting !!!

If you go in Dec (which I agree is THE MOST beautiful time of year to go with all of the decorations up) I WOULD NOT GO anywhere near the 2 weeks surrounding Christmas and New Years. We have done this and it is THE BUSIEST we have ever seen. So if you don't mind crowds and line-ups, go for it. I agree first week in Dec is perfect - but perhaps not so great for weather - might be cool. October is a great time to go. We went a few years ago and it is still warm and you can walk on most attractions! When my daughter did the efficientcy testing, the teachers were not keen about letting students have time off - but in the end it is your decision. All you wil be missing is the sheet that tells you how your child did vs their class, school board, and province. May will be good and hot - we just got back and it was hot last week there!

You may pay a bit more for a house in May vs. October.

Bite the bullet and book it for whenever andf then enjoy the build-up to your vacation. It's a pricey trip but my husband and I feel this is creating the memories that our kids will remember for years!

I have never been in October or December, this year will be going in October and I hear that it is great. (guess that isn't much help now)

As for May, that month(and April) is my favourite time to go. Crowds aren't too bad and the weather perfect for us. Flights on Southwest are usually pretty reasonable, you just have to book when you see them low.

:)

If you love Halloween! Go in October! MNSSHP is AWESOME!:thumbsup2

May is nice also.

Christmas time, as long as it's not the week of! Busy, Busy, Busy!

May is great, October is great (you've got to love the heat for these months) and December is beautiful but weather can change. Remember, too, December hosts Mousefest in the beginning, so it does get busier. October weekends are very busy for Food & Wine in Epcot now.

Here's my take on taking the younger children (4 yr old), we took our youngest when he was only 2, and although he doesn't remember it, the rest of us do. We get just as much enjoyment as do his siblings from remembering his reactions and time at WDW. Maybe it's a selfish way to look at it, but we wouldn't have traded that time for anything.

Just booked today for the end of April through Southwest. $624 for four tickets!!!! Now that's an offer you just can't refuse.

we went in september last year with my 4yr old DD and she had a wonderfull time they had MNSSHP while we where there but we did not go as it would have been too much for her
