AHHHH!!! It's finally happened

I'm getting grey hairs. My DH just pointed them out to me. Luckily, I can't see them yet since they are on top of my head. I guess since I'll be 45 in 20 days, it's time.

YUP, it is time....time you join ALL of us in the hair-coloring group...all of us who have to take time out of our hectic schedules to make salon appts. and get our hair colored. Hey I will do anything to stay young looking....hahaha

I remember when I first noticed my early ones (with 3 kids, mine showed up earlier than yours are). I made a comment to my oldest DS, who was about 7 at the time. He looks at the hair, smiles at me and says "Mom, they're not gray..........they're white!!"

Oh, so true, run as quick as you can. Join a support group of ladies you completely trust, so that when you are very old and cannot remember to make those salon appointments, hopefully one of them will make them for you. I know that I have a commitment with my two friends that we will be watching out for each other till the very end, or should I say watching out for each other's roots. Repeat after me...I will not go gray..I will not go gray..

45 is great for your first grey hair!


I started getting gray at 27, held off for as long as i could .
starting coloring at 30 and it's been a pain in the **** since!

45? Consider yourself VERY lucky. I started going gray in my late 20's. A few years ago when I had the flu followed by pneumonia, I didn't dye my hair for a few months. What a shocker! I had no idea how gray I had become.

Now I have a gray (white!) eyebrow hair. I'm torn about what to do about it. If I tweeze it, it might leave a small bald spot. I'm thinking I need to investigate my options.

Lucky you. I started turning gray in my 20s-30s. By the time my daughter was born in 1998, I was getting comments on "ooohhh, what a pretty GRANDDAUGHTER you have."

My DH just laughes....too bad his hair isn't turning gray...its just falling out!

I got my first gray hair at age 23. It took a few years before they started coming in regularly, though. For a while it was easy enough to just yank them out. (No worries about thinning for me -- I could be Sulley's cousin!) Now, at 41, there are too many to pull out and I think I'm too young to be so gray, so I dye it.

I had my first gray hairs before I even got out of high school. My 21 year old daughter called me recently before she had found her first gray hair.

Look Taylor on American Idol would have never gotten as far as he has if he had brown hair.

Sometimes gray hair is a plus! Just dye it and keep going.

I am 27 years old and I have 6. I pull them out. I know, I know, more will grow back. Well they haven't yet, still the same 6. They are driving me crazy because they are right in the part of my hair!!!
