AHEM' Advice on Las Vegas Spas Anybody

I know this is not Disney related, but if any of you have experience with the Spas in Las Vegas I really need your advice. I'm taking my mom for her bday for 8 days in March-April. I'm treating her to a pedicure, manicure,massage(confused on which massage is the best) and anything else she wants. We are staying at Aladdin which has Elemis but, Canyon Ranch spa looks very nice while Ceasars looks awesome right along with The Spa at Bellagio PLEASE HELP ME

I've been to Vegas a few times and will be back there in 4 weeks. I've used the Spas at the Mirage, Treasure Island, Venetian and Ceasars. One thing to note, is that most of the good spas, especially the Canyon Ranch at the Venetian, will not allow NON-hotel guests into the spas. Sometimes you can get in Sun - Wed, but usually the weekends are blacked out for hotel guests only. So, with that in mind, I'd just stay at the Aladdin Spa. After a long stay in the spa, the last thing you really want to do is have to travel far to get back to your hotel. Also, most of the spas, do not offer manicure and pedicures, they are offered by the salons in the hotels, so it couldn't be combined with a massage or other spa treatment without getting fully dressed to move to the salon. If you really want to do that, schedule them separate from any spa treatments. If you have any other questions ask. I'll be trying out the Spa at Paris (Mandera) next month!!!

After reading what you posted I realize I did not take alot of things into cosideration. I went to Vegas.com to check out the spas and they all look very nice but, with this being my first time going to a spa in Vegas, I really want this to be special not only for me but for my mom also. Believe it or not Dh and I go to Vegas every year and I have not yet stepped into a spa I know shame on me but that is the first thing I plan on doing. Btw, I hear Mandera is awesome enjoy

Just last night our friend and us decided on a fall trip to Vegas. We were discusing the Aladdin too, because we stayed at Luxor last time, we like the location and fugure Aladdin will be much cheaper. Can I ask apporx. what you're paying per night and with whom you booked? If it's not of my biz, just say so.

I don't if my pm went thru but here goes. We use casino host Charles Davis chdavis@aladdincasino.com. He is really great at filling request. All you have to do is email him and give him whatever info such as view,floor ect.... Also ask if you can get the newsletter rate(it's a long shot if your not a slot club member but any thing is possible) which is what we have plus comped nights which leaves us with a bill of about $400.00 if not less. Make sure you join the club which will give you more perks and deductions on your room, buffet and slot play. We will be there March 25th -April 2nd and believe me if we were paying rack rate we would pay about 99 per weeknight and 195 friday and 195 for Saturday if not more.

Mandalay Bay spa is probably the best I've been in. The whirlpool is so big, almost like a swimming pool. And it's quiet. Very relaxing indeed. Four Seasons is also very nice, but their whirlpool is actually outdoor. Service is definitely top notch.

Do NOT go to Canyon Ranch Spa.
I've been there earlier this year. It's *very* packed, think of it as the McDonalds of the spa industry. Service is laughable (whisk you in and out). Rooms are small, and the whirlpool / sauna / waiting area is so small that I felt I was in a packed elevator. I had the body massage, she used this broom-like brush on my body (to exfoliate). I got long, red scratched marks everywhere (still had scars after 9 months). It was so bad that I wrote a complaint letter to the manager and the owner of Canyon Ranch.

It may just be me having a bad spa day, but hey, I spend a lot *less* in GF spa in WDW, and it was soooooooo much better. I had certain expectations, and Canyon Ranch was way off that.

I understand what your saying Jel , but from what I was told the sale has not been approved as of yet. Even if it had which I did enquire about btw Vip still states that everything is the same. I posted questions on Vegas message boards to recent Aladdin visitors and everyone has stated the same thing that Vip stated nothing has changed and service is still great. Either way I hope everything work out

OUch So sorry to hear that adamak. I will definitely skip Canyon Ranch. I want this to be a relaxing experience for both my mom and I.
BTW, your comparison to McDonalds is funny

Thanks for all the replies and any more info is greatly appreciated also Jelo after rereading your post again and again I narrowed it down to these 3 Venetian, TI or NyNy. I don't want something to kick off @ Aladdin unexpectedly especially after talking to a friend who just returned. From what she said the staff act as if they have a I don't give a figg attitude and that is something I do not need. ONe good thing a nice casino host at NyNy is going to help me set up something really special for my mommy(35 married and I still call my mom mommy) She's my favorite girl
