AGLET – We're Gonna Tour The World Together! Updated 11/9!!!

Yeah for getting the resort you wanted! AS you have seen in my PTR I've been pretty torn on where to stay! POFQ sounds nice in that it is a lot smaller!

Have you announced your October dates?!?! Since its during Free Dining I'm guessing either the very beginning of the Month or after the 19th! Don't you love my deductive thinking!! I'll be there the 12-26!! Maybe we can say hi!!

87% of the decision logic based on beignets. :rotfl2::rotfl:. That is my kind of logic!!! :thumbsup2

All of your planning activities sound so fun and how awesome that your parents will be able to participate. The dream wedding special was on tv yesterday and I recorded it. I think I have seen it before but will be cool thinking that someone I "know" is planning one. :goodvibes

Slowly catching up on the DIS :thumbsup2

Sorry Kouzzina wasn't quite as awesome as before; if I ever go there, the stacked breakfast is what I'd go for, too.

Yayyyy for an October trip for wedding planning! And I'm so excited you ended up getting POFQ!

Congratulations on your engagement and Disney wedding!!! I look forward to following the wedding planning :)

And my parents were super-excited over the potential menu options:

Them: WAIT. You can have Napoleons?????

Us: YES. And School Bread. And Grey Goose Slushies. And carrot cake cookies.

Them: :thumbsup2

When you get married at Disney, can you really have any Disney foods that you want at the reception?!?

Congratulations on getting POFQ – I loved my stay there, especially because of the smaller size and the fact that you don’t have to worry about getting a certain room location.

Sorry you were a bit disappointed in your breakfast! That's never fun.

YAY for POFQ! I'm with you. That would be my favorite of the mods. (Not that I know anything seeing as I've never stayed at any of them.) HOORAY!

Yeah, it wasn't as fabulous as I had remembered, but still good!

Hahaha I don't have much experience with the moderates either - once I stayed at CBR. I'm excited about POFQ though!

I say you exercise your right as a female ..... and change your mind if you want to. Can't wait to hear about the October trip !!

Hahahaha agreed!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Thanks!

Hahahaha the best kind of logic is based on pastries, I swear!:teacher:

Thanks!! I'm really excited about all of it! I don't think I've seen the dream wedding special - I lose track of which ones I've seen and haven't! :rotfl:

YES!!! Unless you will be eating at California Grill, the entire WDW menu list is open to you! It's really amazing the amount of options that we have!

Thanks! I'm looking forward to a smaller resort after navigating the Poly!

I am trying to not see the other posts. I have been reading but not posting. But thought I would now. I am only going onto day 3 now.

Hi,
Okay first day I will say Sanaa is one of my favorite places to eat. So delicious.
We cannot do CP anymore. You do not want to know why. Oh wait your reading the report so you will find out why.
I liked the foggy pics.
I love the new parts at Haunted Mansion.
I hate touring when tour groups are there. So inconsiderate to others.
POTC is my all time favorite ride. LOL, I got soaked the last time too.
Ooh the Tiki room. Loved that they brought back the original.
IASW front row. Lucky. I always get bumped for VIP’s.
Transit Authority is another favorite for relaxing.
Too bad you skipped lunch at LTT, so delicious.
Okay I am jealous. I want to see the Cowboy version. It is the only way I will ride it now.
Sorry the cupcake was not what you thought it would be.
The slipper story was funny. Glad it could be moved up.
GF. I am so excited for the DVC there. I cannot wait to buy in.
I so want to order a slipper now. That looks so good.
Wishes is fun. If you ever have an extra $400 take the cruise or go in on it with others. So fantastic.
Sounded like a great day 2.

Day 3. LOL
That coffee looked really good.
Cute gift card.
AK is my favorite park for photos. I could spend all day taking pics there. LOL
That poor lady you blew off. ROTF
The safari is the best part of AK. Crowds are not.
Wow that hippo is really close to the window.
I love FOTLK. Simply a great show. The one on Broadway is fantastic too.
I hope you find your hat that you want.
You really like the Muppets. I can only do it once in a trip.
LOL on your comments about the the Backlot Tour. I feel the same way. Vinny loves it.
I would love to try Bistro de Paris but it is closed when we are going. It sounds like you both liked it.
Great report and pics so far. That is as far as I can get tonight.

I love that the rooms have purple bedding! :goodvibes I can't wait to hear all about your wedding planning, it sounds like so much fun! When I thought about maybe having a Disney wedding, I got so overwhelmed, there is just so much to think about! :cool2:

Day 4
What a terrible way to start the day. Glad the cab got you there.
I buy that pen every time I am there.
That card is wonderful. What a nice thing to do.
I always ask for the first row and wait. I hate feet in my way.
Your planty is doing better than mine. I have that and vanilla and vanilla is kicking the dragon fruits butt.
Have you ever done Behind the Seeds tour? It was so great.
I pass on Ellen.
I am going next time at opening for a margarita. It is always packed when we go and have yet to get in there.
I had no idea there was a museum in Morocco. I will have to look for it next time.
Love doing Club Cool. The watermelon one is my fave.
Your haircut looks really nice.
Oh my you had 10 minutes and you left. I would have gone out on the balcony. Vinny stayed inside while I watched it from the balcony. It was so great and they pipe ion the music.
Sounds like another great day.

We love Sanaa too!!! Oh no, I don't want to dislike CP!! We really enjoyed it there!!

We had a great time that morning in the MK - definitely too full/distracted for stopping at LTT. I think it's a must-do for a future trip though!

Hahahaha even though the slipper wasn't a surprise, I was still happy to have it! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to see what the DVC at GF looks like either! I'm sure it's going to be gorgeous!

AK is a very photogenic park!! Too bad we never seem to be able to spend too much time there! Hahahaha I did feel bad about running past that lady, but I was on a mission! :rotfl:

We really do love the Muppets! We could see it probably at least 20 times a trip!

That stinks that Bistro will be closed during your trip! Hopefully you can go in the future!

I had no idea the rooms had purple bedding! It's so funny how themed even the comforters are at WDW!

There definitely is a lot to think about, but I think it'll be fun planning too!

It was an annoying start to the day, but I'm glad we got there on time!! She was very excited about the card, so it was definitely worth it! :thumbsup2

The vanilla sounds like a fun plant to have as well! No, we haven't done Behind the Seeds, but I always hear great things about it!

Going to La Cava when it opened seemed to be a good bet! It was pretty crowded every other time we passed by!

Thanks!! :goodvibes

I know, in retrospect we should have, but we just decided to head back! We saw Wishes plenty of times that week!

After our breakfast at Kouzzina, we went to the gift shop on the Boardwalk that I always forget the name of (Between Big River Grille and Flying Fish. The Screen Door? That sounds plausible.) in search of replacement sunglasses.

While I was perusing the options and attempting to figure out what would have the most re-wearability back home, Wingnut went off in search of a sweatshirt for him to wear. It was still REALLY cold outside, and didn’t seem to be warming up any time soon.

I picked out a pair of sunglasses, and Wingnut strolled over with a sweatshirt with a giant Donald Duck on the front (and back). Surprised (he really isn’t the type of guy that seeks out character-adorned clothing to wear), I asked him if this was really the one he wanted.

“Yes. He looks so angry - I love it.”

Okay then.

As his purchase was being rung up, the CM looked at the sweatshirt, surprised.

“This is actually on sale!” she announced, looking as though we had discovered the needle in the haystack of the store.

There was no sign announcing that the sweatshirt was on sale, but it kept ringing up at a sale price, so that is what she went with. She had the other CM working there check the sweatshirts in the surrounding area, and a few of them were on sale as well. “Very good find!!” she kept congratulating DF on his excellent shopping/sleuthing skills.

I know you want to see DF in his Donald Duck sweatshirt.

We then began walking in the direction of the International Gateway.

My new sunglasses:

Quiet Epcot entrance:

I was very excited as we approached the turnstyles to see that we were FIRST AT ROPE DROP!!

(Okay, yes, I know this is the International Gateway and not DHS for TSM-level crowds, but I was still pretty excited.)

A few minutes before 9, we were allowed into the park.

I was excited to get empty World Showcase pictures, but then was annoyed to see some sort of teambuilding exercise going on with some random organization, AKA brightly-colored t-shirts EVERYWHERE.

Boo.

So I focused on places that they weren't. Like in the lagoon.

As we approached Future World, it was still fairly blissfully quiet.

Along with seemingly everyone else, we were, of course, headed in the direction of The Land.

We followed the parade into The Land pavilion, where we walked with the crowd down the steps, and as they all headed straight into Soarin, we veered left. Because why go on Soarin at rope drop when you can go on a completely empty Living with the Land???

(Looking backwards: )

(Hey look, we got the front row!)

I believe this is the third time you're seeing recaps from Living with the Land on this TR, so I'll only share a few of my pics.

What Planty will look like when he's all grown up.

The lemon, of course:

The Mickey Head lettuce board, starting to fill in again:

As you guys know, my favorite part of Living with the Land is the end with the different people (Blueberry Boy, etc), and I really wanted to get a clear picture of this. I had tried on the previous ride, and it came out all blurry, and so I decided to not even attempt to get a picture this time around.

I got a video instead, so not only is there Blueberry Boy and Tomato Girl, but it has music!!

You're very welcome, fellow Living with the Land fans!!

Nice sunglasses and sweet deal on the sweatshirt. :thumbsup2

Good job beating everyone else to be first to ride The Land that day! If you guys keep that up they're going to be forced to make it a fastpass attraction.

THANK YOU, SARA!! I absolutely love Blueberry Boy and Tomato Girl. They are some of my favorite fruit children of all time! I also love that your enthusiasm for Living with the Land equals ours, and I was sure that wasn't even possible.

Wingnut's sweatshirt...hmmm...Donald may look so angry, but something about Wingnut's personality kind of softens that blow. That might not be the effect he was going for:lmao:, though I'm sure the warming effect was perfect!

Great purchases and score on the sale! That is definitely a rarity in WDW!!! Love the empty pictures of the IG. I cannot believe how much the two of you get done in the mornings!!!

I am a big fan of The Land but somehow have never made note of blueberry boy. :confused3. I loved the video though and that very distinctive Epcot music. :thumbsup2. I will watch for him next time! :)

Awww that Donald sweatshirt is adorable! :yay:

I love all of your empty Epcot pictures! There is nothing better than Epcot in the morning! Except maybe Epcot at night during the Food and Wine festival! :rotfl:

Woo hoo, front row on Living with the Land! :cool1:

Your new shades are very nice, but I have to say that Wingnut's Donald sweatshirt completely stole the show. I love that such a laid back guy (at least that's how I perceive him) wanted the angry duck shirt! :lmao:

Thank goodness you got on The Land first thing...that line gets BRUTAL as the day wears on! :rotfl: I hope you didn't get too seasick riding in the front!

I can't wait 'til October and our stay at YC so I can use the IG entrance to Epcot...your photos are awesome!

Day 5
Ooh Kona I love them for breakfast. I am going to check and see if we can book it again. Vinny did not care for it but I think another try is in order.
Good time to get a fp for TSM. Sorry Muppets was closed.
I do love the Muppets fountain.
I have that Elmo thing in my queue for months and have not watched it yet. Maybe I should.
If you do not like TSM then if you are ever in Universal do NOT go on Men In Black. You will regret it.
WHAT!!! You skipped Star Tours? It is not jerky and I think better than before in visualness and the ride itself.
Did you ever see “Beauty and the Beast” there? It is a good show.
I do agree about DHS, it is my least favorite park.
When going to DTD you can always go to Saratoga Springs and get off at Congress Park and then walk over. 5 minute walk. Very nice.
WPE is a great place to eat. YUM.
Sounds like I should put Artist Point on my list of places to go.
I hate bugs. Last October I surprised some friends with a Wishes Cruise and it was great but they take you out early and you see the different resorts, well by the time we got o Wilderness Lodge there were so many bugs it was disgusting. It was the only area we saw them.
Sounds like another great day at Disney.

Day 6
Congrats on your engagement.
That is my fear forgetting the little things so I take a pic everywhere I go. LOL
Boma sounds good. I had it once and have not been back. LOL
I have yet to see a park opening. Anywhere. LOL
I love the float. So delicious.
Yeah you got your hat. It is cute.
I love the paging mr morrow shirt.
I love sitting and watching the fountain and people’s reactions.
Too bad you did not see “Illuminations”.

Day 7
You left all the toiletries? I take everyone I can get my hands on. LOL
Maybe we will try Kouzzina one day.
Nice sunglasses.
The boardwalk area is gorgeous.
Living with the land is so fun.

Wedding
So excited for you both. I am sure you will both proudly display your marriage unlike someone else I know.
When will you be there? We are from 10/8-10/20. Maybe we will see you around.
