An almost 3 year old is going to be in our traveling party. Full disclosure-she’s huge. No one believes her age when we travel together. Is bringing age verification really necessary? Just wondering if they are really going to put up a stink at the gates and when using genie. Technically she doesn’t require a ticket or genie plus purchase. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No...no need for age verification.

You just have to tell them that she is 2. They should not make any comment about it. Unless she looks like a 5 year old, I don't see any issues. If it makes you feel better, snap a picture of her birth certificate. But I wouldn't carry it around.

When it was concerning masking for under 2’s, the only time I was asked her age was at security at Magic kingdom. You may get asked once or twice, but that’s it.

We got asked for masking purposes on transportation. They commented how she looked way over 2 (she was 2 weeks away from her 2nd birthday).

We’ve taken our now 5 year old many times to Disney since he was 6 months old and there was no age verification. Sanaa was the only ADR where he was charged accidentally (under 3) but we just happened to notice and got the dining credit back (stopped by at the front desk for a different issue). They did start finger scanning which always causes scanning issues for our son at parks other than MK (counter intuitive; after we’ve been to MK).

I got asked if my then 23 month old daughter was over 3. She was off the charts at that time for height. However nobody questioned it beyond asking how old she was and me answering.

We took our son the week before his 3rd birthday. He looked his age but no one ever asked.
