age to go on Boneyard playground question

I thought I saw somewhere that the Boneyard playground had age restrictions. Does anyone know? I have 3 DDs (8,5 and 2.5) and I don't want to go somewhere like that unless all of them can go. I think I read something about the HISTK playground too. Anyone know where I can look??? TIA!!

my dh was on the playground with my ds i really dont think there is any age limit..a good part of it is just a big sand box filled with bones that you can dig up.

I wouldn't worry about the Boneyard. My 10 yo DD loves this attraction. We've been playing there since they opened it. It is one of her favorite things to do at AK. You can get right down there with the kids, too.

The HISTK attraction is also age appropriate for your children. Keep a watch on the two younger ones though. It is easy to lose track of kids there. My DD, again, loves this attraction. I don't care for it mostly because I've always been afraid of losing her. (They have CMs posted at the entrance and exit, so you won't really lose your kid, but . . .)

I don't recall seeing age signs posted for either attraction.

Thank you both! The boneyard goes back ON my itinerary then. As far as the HISTK, I think I've heard something about how hard it is to keep your eyes on your kids, so I don't know. I'm really freaky about that. Last Christmas Eve at a candlelight service, everyone started filing out (with the lights off still). I got separated from my DD4 and about had a heart attack. I was almost hysterical. Turns out, a friend of mine took them to the basement to get refreshments. AARGG!! My DH (who didn't go) was a bit shocked when I was still crying when we got home...it was awful. SO, I'll think about that one.

We call it the "Honey I Lost the Kids" playground. If you follow your kids, be prepared to have a sore back and knees from stooping and crawling places that were built for people shorter than four feet.

For some reason this bothers me too! I can't stand being separated from the kids--or at least out of sight of them. Some parents just sit and let theirs play. I guess it would be fine if mine were older. DS11 doesn't really care for it---probably the time I feel comfortable with it for my younger 3 kids, they will have outgrown it.

I am glad to know there are other mother's like me. My dh gets on to me for being over protective. I don't even like the fast food play grounds unless there is only one way in and out and I can watch it. We have never been to histk but I am behind dd just turned 6 all the way when she plays in the bone yard, I even slide down the slides behind her.

My favorite part of the HILTK is the voices over the intercom "Justin Taylor, please come to the exit, your parents are waiting for you." Every three minutes as long as you are there. And the last thing you hear as you leave "Justin Taylor, please come to the exit."
