How old does a child have to be to enter a Disney park without an adult? Is it still 14, or has it changed again?

Thanks. :) My teenager is thinking she might like to tag along on my conference trip next month so I'm looking into the logistics of it all, and making sure she can hit the parks without me was first priority.

Sounds fun. My 14 year old would love that. :)

I'm sure mine will too. She's dying to go to Halloween Horror Nights and we never seem to be down there at the right time, so when she realized my conference falls during the first weekend of this year's run she started hinting that we should go. And I do have one evening free for the party. So now I just need to put numbers together to decide if adding her and HHN is in the budget.

You do know that this is the WDW board, and HHN are at Universal, right? I'm not sure if the age limit is the same at Universal.

And HHN can be VERY scary - does she really want to go alone? :scared:

I got the impression, based on what the op wrote, that the HHN would be a joint event for the two of them and her daughter would spend time at the Disney parks while the OP attended her conference functions.

Goofy's got it right - HHN would be something we'd do together, on a day when I'm only busy with the conference until 4pm. She wouldn't want to do that alone (and honestly, neither would I - haunted houses and such aren't really a solo sort of thing IMO). Her time on her own will be limited to WDW property; she's familiar enough with Disney transportation and the parks that I'm comfortable with her spending the days solo, but I wouldn't want her leaving Disney property without me.

We let our two girls ride the bus from CR to DHS alone at 13 & 15, like your daughter they are very familiar with the ins and outs of WDW and the transportation logistics.
