Age to check in?

Just wondering - this has probably been covered, but I can't find it with a search. What age do you need to be to check in at a DVC property? My daughter is thinking of going down during her January break, but she is only 18. Will she be able to check in on her own, or do I get to tag along?
Also - at Boardwalk Villas - do any of the one bedrooms have 2 beds in the bedroom? If so - can you request one of these rooms? We've only stayed in units with one bed in the bedroom.
Thanks!

Can't answer on the check in age but all BWV are lock offs which mean a queen bed and sleeper sofa in the second bedroom.

I slept on the new sofa last Dec. and found it to be VERY comfortable.

There has to be at least one 18 yo adult registered in a DVC room.

All DVC studios have a bed and sofa sleeper, except OKW. OKW has 2 queen beds.

All 1 bedroom units have a king bed in the master suite and a sofa sleeper in the living room.

Most, but not all, dedicated two bedroom will have 2 beds in the second bedroom, lock-off two bedrooms are a one bedroom plus a studio (see studio configurations above.)

Thanks so much for the info - not what I wanted to hear - wanted the check in age to be older so I would be forced to go along. I knew the day would come when my kids would go to Disney without me - but didn't think it would be this soon!
Thanks again

Some have reported Disney follows the same rules as DCL. That is they will allow 18 to check in but if there are others in the part under age, they require 21, esp if any of the minors are not immediately family. My guess is it will vary from one CM to another. For those interested, most timeshare (including exchangers through DVC) require one checking in to be older. 21, 23, even 25 y/o requirements are common and most are VERY strict in this area.

Thanks for the additional info. I will check when I call to reserve - don't want the 3 of them to get there and not be able to check in. I may get my January Disney fix after all. Has anyone had any personal experience with 18-19 year olds checking in?
Thanks so much

My children have gone to WDW numerous times with friends without me and have had no trouble checking in. They were 18 when they started doing this and all in their party were over 18.

My son has checked in to his own dvc reservation earlier this month - he was 20 and his girlfriend was 18. There were no problems - dvc doesn't have any extra rules other than the person has to be 18 to check in.
