How strict are the age limits on the children's meals? There is an adult in our group that is very picky. Will she be able to order from the kids menu?

I'm not sure on TS places. I've heard that the non-Disney owned and operated ones can be strict, while I think the Disney owned and operated ones are more lenient. Someone else may be able to chime in here.

As far as counter service, anyone can order anything they want. I've ordered kid's meals several times, mostly because the adult portion is entirely too much food for any reasonable person to eat (except perhaps a teenage boy).

At buffets and AYCTE places, everyone over 9 pays the adult price, no exceptions.

The big issue will be if you are on the dinning plan or paying out of pocket.

If you are paying out of pocket you probably won't have any issue. My experience at table services is as follows. I've only been told absolutely no 1 time in my 8ish years going to the parks and a couple times I've had to pay a little more than the children's price usually under the justification that they give you an adult size beverage instead of just the kids stuff. I also didn't get the dessert that kid's meals usually have.

Was that at TS or CS? I've never been charged more at CS - I usually take the kid's meal as is (with a small bottle of water).

It would be paying out of pocket and she would pay for her own drink. It's just dietary restrictions make it hard for her to enjoy some of the items offered on an adult menu. Thanks for the answers, I'll pass them along.

Is it dietary restrictions or picky eater? If it is dietary restriction thus allergy or life style then you can ask what can be done from the adult menu. Some things can be adjusted. When I read your first post I thought it was a picky eater who may only eat chicken nuggets, burgers, mac and cheese, and/or french fries.
