hi all -- I couldn't seem to find this answer anywhere so I thought I would try here -- we are thinking of taking a cruise next dec -- my 3 boys will be 5, 9 and 13 -- I noticed the ages of like the oceaneer club is 3-12 -- would they let my oldest in with his 2 brothers or not? they are sooo used to all kinda hanging out together -- I think my little 2 would be lost with out the oldest -- and I don't think my oldest would do very well by himself in the "tween " clubs -- thanks!

Oceaneer's Club/Lab is ages 3-12. Edge is 11-14. While there is sometimes some wiggle room "aging up" to the next club, they are firm about the top age in the club levels. Your 13 year old will be in Edge. But all kids can go to Oceaneer's (or Edge) together during the Open House times.

Aging down isn't something they do. Club/lab goes all the way to the day before the 13th birthday so the 13 year old isn't allowed.

They can still hang out on the ship, and as long as you are present they can play at the club/lab during specific Open House times, but the teen won't be in the club/lab during normal times.

The upper age limit is normally a hard cap. The wiggle room is when the kids are close to aging up to the next level and the CMs deem that there is room for more kids. I would prepare your boys for the near certainty that the oldest won't be allowed in the Club/Lab with them outside of Open House periods. There is much more freedom in Edge. There is no formal check-in/check-out process like in the Club/Lab. My daughter always said it was very important to go to the ice-breaker events in Edge. She said it's much easier to get in with a group on the first night and a little more difficult after.
