We will either go on a cruise this coming Feb or April. My 18th birthday is April 1st. Should we wait and go then??Are there a lot of thing you have to be 18 for?? I would hate to miss out on somethings by only a couple months ! Could I still go to Common Grounds in April? Which time would have more cruisers my age? Any advice would be great! Also, do they do anything special for birthdays?

Thanks

Once you turn 18 you are allowed access to the adults-only areas, which include the spa, adult pool and night club areas. The drinking age on the ship is 21, however.

For your birthday, if it is noted on your reservation your servers will bring you a small cake at dinner one night and will sing Happy Birthday to you.

Enjoy! :D

Will you be a senior in high school this year? Some friends of ours went this past January on a Disney Cruise, and since their daughter was still in high school she was allowed to do both the teen activities and the adult activities (she had just turned 18). Seems like the best of both worlds!

You must be 18 to enter the adult only areas of the ship --- including the night clubs, spa, etc. Common Grounds usually will allow 18 (and even some 19) year olds to participate in the teen activities. BUT -- they do usually request that if the 18/19 year olds chose to be teens for the week that they then refrain from using the adult only areas.
:D
