Age limits for car hire - older drivers

Hi there, Could any of my US friends answer this question about car hire..

Here in the UK drivers over 70 can not drive a rental car.

Is this the same in the US and if so are there any specialist companies who do offer car rental to over 70's.

Agencies can have their own limits, but generally there is no maximum age on rental cars. I can't find any in place for the big agencies in Florida (enterprise, hertz, avis) which is understandable, given Florida's allure to elderly retirees. You shouldn't have any problem.
