My DS would like to do the parasailing on Castaway and the age limit is 13. She will be 13 in 4 months..
Has anyone had any experience with this? Will they let her do it? Or are they very strict with their rules?
And I understand that it's policy but really she is soooo close to 13.
thanks!
First Cruise in 11 days!!!

Kids under 13 can do the parasailing. They just have to be accompanied by an adult.

ETA: From the DCL website:

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. Children aged 13 to 17 participating unaccompanied must be escorted to Marge's Barges by a parent or legal guardian.

It appears there might be a minimum age of 8. The price listing shows a price for ages 8 and 9, then a price for 10 and up, although the two prices are the same.

They are very strict with their rules. I'm not sure if you can book direct through the company that works on Castaway Cay or not but sometimes Disney's ages to book through them are stricter than the 3rd party providers. I think it has to do with Disney's insurance.

Thanks! Ya my DH and I don't want to go so was hoping they would just take her seeing she sooo close to 13... oh well NEXT cruise I guess!!

Unfortunately its the insurance they need for this that puts the 13 rule on there. They wont bend the rules as it means if they have an accident then they would be in a heap of trouble and could be closed down. Unlikely I know but they have to be very careful with these things.
