age limit for the Void VR experience in DtD

I noticed both VR experiences (star wars and wreck it ralph) have age restrictions of 10+ and 48 inches. That height is more like a 6-7 year old, so what's with the age limit? Is there something about the game play or is it really intense?

The equipment you wear is kind of heavy. And the Star Wars experience was kind of intense. There is a lot going on and you need to be able to follow instructions and move quickly. There is also a lot of shooting and some “scary” situations. I am pretty sure the age limit is a maturity and strength issue.

The equipment is heavy and you have to follow directions and for some of it reading is helpful.

Yes, I think the weight of the equipment has a lot to do with it. You are essentially wearing a PC tower on your back, plus the headgear and force-feedback motors in the vest. It is pretty heavy - much heavier than say a typical laser tag vest.
