shall ( here read that I all my fingers ) one of my daughters family have a positive test at port
or us me and husband
someone said we would all be turned away ( even if we had separate hotel rooms day before

that being said if we had the unfortunate bad luck of one of us testing positive

we bought a guarantee stateroom so supposedly not refundable

but since we are foreigners we would have to stay in Florida and change our plans ..
will dcl reimburse our cruise since we could not go aboard ?
wil they reimburse us right there I mean me and my husband would have the funds to make other plan
but that would mean a big expense for our daughter if she’d have to make other plans …
got to say lots of things to think about while cruising in these pandemic times ..

If DCL does not let you board due to a positive test at port they will either completely refund you (doesn't matter if you have a non refundable fare) or let you book another cruise. I don't think the refund is instant, maybe a week or longer before you're refunded?

Hopefully none of you will have any issues preventing you from boarding!

The refund would be to your form of payment and would not be immediate. Even if they process it immediately your bank can take usually 7-10 days for it to show.

I strongly suggest trip insurance! If you are denied boarding, it should cover expenses related to change in plans. Though that depends on the coverage you purchase.

Yes - you'd want to make 100% sure it covered COVID-related stuff. Not all of them do - and the ones that do are going to be pricier. (Also depends on how far after booking you're getting it. Some policies MUST be purchased within 14 days of booking the travel.)

If you and your husband arrive separately from other party you all wouldn't be turned away just the group with the positive test.
