Did anyone do the Meet Rebecca event today? Fun? Are these special events worth planning your trip around?

Not near a store to go to, but I did check her out on the website and want her for DD and all that goes with her. We are not Jewish, but DD was adopted from Kazakhstan and is of Russian heritage. Not to mention she is also a beautiful doll.

We are planning a trip to MOA for August. I will be saving the money for the trip. I am sure that it will not be cheap.

This doll is perfct for DD. Not only are we jewish, but the doll actually looks like her. I also want the Sabbath set and sideboard. Just wish they weren't this expensive :sigh:

I love the bed! Need that, it's a shame I...err DD8...has too many big AG things in her room now and a couple of beds. We need a bigger room!

They do have that 100% satisfaction guarantee... wonder if she'd return one for exchange or sell it on ebay. I do remember seeing a rough spot on that butterfly trundle, maybe we don't need it, after all don't want her to get cut...

DD9 really wants Rebecca. We are Jewish. My mother's name is Rebecca and her mother comes from Russia. Her family actually wanted to come over to the USA in the 1910s but didn't get here until the 1920s. They lived in the lower east side of NYC when they first moved here though they were out of there before my mother was born.

Fortunately for my pocketbook dd was easily swayed to not want the sabbath set since she was surprised by the cost. We have an older Hanukkah set that dd is content with that can easily be used with Rebecca. Fortunately dd is very happy with the idea of getting the books which will be reread in a few years by dd5. I've already vetoed the matching pjs for her and a doll for over $50.
