Did anyone go to the Classic Afternoon Tea this weekend? It was the first weekend it was held. I'd love to hear a review. My girlfriends and I are going at the end of Feb!

I am curious about this as well. My wife would like to take my daughter on our next trip. They love going to afternoon tea and unfortunately the one here in Phoenix went away when the Ritz Carlton closed. We love the tea at the Grand Floridian at WDW so hopefully this one will compare favorably.

I went on Sunday with my son and his girlfriend. I'll upload pictures later this afternoon. The Periscope I took of it is already gone (24 hours). We all really enjoyed it, and I definitely recommend it. We all had the premium tea, and you have to gauge whether you want to pay the extra $15 for a small salad, the sparking wine, and the two little (but yummy) truffles that you get to take home. Chef Marcel set it up, and everything is made from scratch.

Prices are:

Classic tea - $50
Premium tea - $65

and there is a Children's tea, and I'm thinking that is $35, but will have to check to make sure.

How dressy was it? We are thinking of doing this in May, but my boys may balk if they have to get too fancy.

Being Disney, I don't think it will be too dressy. We plan on cleaning up before going, but I don't plan on changing outfits unless my clothes are wet or stained from the parks. Also, I don't know if the tea will be offered in May. Dine Line told me that the current offering ends in March. It may return or be extended, but she didn't have any official word on that.

Looks lovely! I haven't heard of this. We would have loved to have done it when we were there this weekend, darn. It looks like it's held at Steakhouse 55?

Thanks for the info Mary Jo.
Do you have any photos of the menus? I made a reservation for Easter weekend with my daughter. She is a super picky eater due to sensory issues, and likely will not even drink tea (she only likes milk and water).

They offer a kids' tea also. It has milk and juice.

We have a reservation for March 25!

I spoke with the Dine Line today. The CM said that she only has openings for the end of March. Response has been good, so she is hoping that the tea will be extended beyond March. There was a meeting last week with S55 management, but no official word on when/if the tea will end.

My son took some pictures of the menu. I'm not sure if you'll be able to make anything out:

The kids tea party says "Chocolate Chip Scones - Seasonal Fruit Preserves, Devonshire Cream, and Lemon Curd; Tea Sandwiches - Peanut Butter and Jelly, Cucumber, Ham and Cheese; Desserts - Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Mini Fruit Tart, Assorted Macarons; Assorted Loose Leaf Teas, Juice, Milk, or Hot Chocolate".

Here are the package options:

Thank you both! That is very helpful.
Did you enjoy the teas that you selected?

I thought my tea was really good. Yasmin (my son's girlfriend) thought my tea tasted the best of all. After we had our teas, Nick & Yasmin ordered an iced tea - Mountain Berry, and it was so refreshing. I told our server, Lupe, to surprise us and she brought out Eros. That one was really good, too. I loved that after our tea meal we could order a different tea to finish off our experience.

Forgive my ignorance, but how does tea selection work? Do you just get to choose one tea throughout the meal or can you get a different one each cup? Is there a limit?
