made adr for afternoon tea at garden view there will be 7 in our party 4 adults 1 teen 1, 5year old 1, 2 year old they have said tables not big enough for 7 do you think as there is 2 little ones we might squeeze on 1 table we really dont want to be splithelp anyone whos been ,
I don't know why they would tell you that. There tables are configured to allow for seven to sit together. Particularly if you put the 2 year old in an higher chair.
Be prepared though, I don't mean to be discouraging, but my recent experience there for high tea was pretty dismal. Dried out sandwiches with curling bread, cruchy cold scones, and horrid service. Also had to wait an unusually long time to be seated (with an ADR of course). The Podium CM actually snapped at us when we presented ourselves and "ordered" us to "stand over there out of the way."
So, I'll be taking my guests to Mount Dora from now on. We'll have a wonderful high tea at the Windsor Rose!
1) There are two larger round tables that are confired for six.
2) But, others might have already booked those tables.
3) However, kids still take up space, just like a adult with a chair.
4) Odds are that your party will be split for the Tea.
Love the tea and have never been disappointed. I even have an ADR for later this month.
I would agree with the PP. You may very well be split up. But it is a small space anyway.
...high tea is not the proper term for what is served at Garden View. High tea does not refer to a social status, but rather a time. High tea is served around 3 or 4 in the afternoon to the working poor when they get home from a hard day's labor. This snack was meant to sustain the working man until dinner was served around 5 or 6 in the evening. Too often people think the term "high tea" refers to something elegant, but in fact the term is something the noble class would never partake of......high tea is for the common man. Just thought I would throw that out there.
We go to have afternoon tea every year. Our family loves the atmosphere and the time we spend in the relaxed setting. The food has always been top notch and the tea selection has something for everyone. We are tea drinkers at home too so it lets us enjoy one of our staples in a great location..........ahhhhh, I love my WDW tea time!!!
