Does anyone know how much food you get in the Buckingham Palace tea?

dd will only be 3 when we go and she isn't a big eater - infact she hardly eats anything at meal time-more a grazer.

she won't eat what comes in the mrs potts tea so it would just be a waste of money.

how much do you usually get?

I think you got a selection of 4 finger sandwiches, a scone with jam & cream and a selection of either the trifle or two small pastries.

My Mom and I were full afterwards.

I had the Buckingham last week. The first course was 5 triangular finger sandwiches (1 watercress with cucumber, 1 egg salad, 1 shrimp salad, 1 chicken salad, 1 pear with gorgonzola), the second course was a scone with devonshire cream on the side and a raspberry tart, and the third course was your choice of either fresh strawberries and cream (large portion), traditional english trifle(again, large portion) or 2 pastries of your choice (they bring the tray over for you to select). Of course this is all in addition to your choice of tea (a full pot). It was all delicious and everyone in our party was full when we were done.
If this is too much food for your DD (and it may very well be) you can order things a la cart to your liking. You can get just a plate of the sandwiches or a cheese and fruit plate. There are other options as well. We really enjoyed it and are glad we did it, but unless your DD will be happy sitting for and hour to an hour and a half, she may get bored. It is a slow paced, quiet setting. Good for some, not good for others.
