I know afternoon thunderstorms are common in the summer and Sept - also some going into Oct. But what about early/mid-November?

We always go prepared for rain but would like to know if it's common or not that time of year. Is it a daily occurence?

It hasn't been for our late October trips. Maybe just once or twice during a 10 day stay.

I would think November would be a bit drier.

The afternoon Florida rainstorms are generally caused by the east coast seabreeze and the west coast seabreeze colliding over the middle of the state. The temperatures need to be warm (usually in the 90's) for this to be of really concern. November is usually cooler so you might get some rain but it will be nothing like the summer thunderstorms (which can be timed out daily on your watch).

Thanks for the answer. I kind of thought that it wouldn't be a huge consideration in November. (Thankfully)

Most of the rain we get in November is from cold fronts moving through and can happen at any time of day and last longer than the summer thunderstorms.
