Hello all, We are on a B2B in Jan 2022 and I want to get insurance for both cruises and would like recommendations. We will be at Vero Beach a couple days before the cruises as well so insuring the entire trip as a whole would be best and least expensive I would assume. Can anyone give me recommendations on good but not too expensive companies? TIA

I suggest you use a trip insurance comparison site. You put in the parameters of what you want covered and they'll show you several different company's policies that fit the bill.

Squaremouth is one such site, but there are others.

Be sure to verify what if any Covid coverage is included. That has been clearly indicated on the policies I have reviewed recently. We went with an Allianz annual plan, since we have three major trip with multiple (b2b and b2b2b) cruises during the coming year.

Thank you all, I used the Smashmouth option and got a wonderful plan for not a ton of money.

We always use Allianze Global. They are the AAA preferred travel insurance company and they are, as their name implies, global. Their rates are very reasonable. The only reason that we get trip insurance is to cover any emergency medical care and evacuation. If you get injured in another country and have to be medevacked back to the US, it could bankrupt you. So make sure that the plan that you get has sufficient coverage for that.

You should also note that if you travel often, you can purchase annual medical/evacuation policies that cover multiple trips during a year.

I had Allianze insurance for a trip to Europe. I was not able to go due to a medical issue, and had to cancel the whole trip and make a claim. They were wonderful to work with - very easy to fill out the paper work and I got a full refund in a short time period. This was pre-Covid so I don't have experience with their Covid policies, but I will definitely use them again.

Check with the company that carries your house, cars, liability, umbrella. They may offer an annual travel option or point you toward another company that does.
