What your favorite thing to do at DL after the parks close on an early night (8:00)??? anything... Looking forward to all responses

We like to wander around DTD or sit by the fire in GCH. Sometimes my daughter likes to go for a night swim.

go back to the hotel, grab a cold one (or 3) and stick my tired feet in the pool. :thumbsup2

depends on how much walking we did that day! if it's our first day ..i def would walk around downtown disney and stroll around the resort hotels. if it was an eventful day and my feet are feeling it.. probs head back to the hotel and rest and plan the next day's adventure!

I love those ideas!

When we went and Disneyland closed at 8 PM for the World of Color Grad Nite, we just went back to our room. I played online, and we just turned in early so we could have a nice full day at the parks the next day.

I usually take a stroll through DTD and do my shopping if I haven't already before relaxing at the hotel and maybe some TV if there's something I want to watch (like my last trip being when Glee premiered  How could I miss that??) while tranferring photos over to my laptop so I'll be ready to go the next morning without a few extra tasks.

I was there during the WoC Grad Night on the same week as Eeee-va, we left the park early and ate at the ESPN Zone during the NBA Finals between the Lakers and Celtics. Than we just went back to the hotel and went to bed early to get in line for WoC. I got in line at 5am in the morning for WoC FP tickets.

I would go to DTD and head over to the World of Disney store and go shopping. Than I would head back to the hotel and go to bed early to get in line at DL the next day.

Build a Bear and a swim and hot jacuzzi before turning in. We always meet the nicest people at the pool and it is fun to share our days adventure with everyone.

The nights DL closed early we walked back to the World Mark and stopped at the Anaheim Garden Walk and bought the kids shoes at Sketcher's store. We also were there during the Laker Championship game and it was craaazy at this bar and grill. It was full of people but it was fun because everyone was excited and people were crowded around the TV's outside the restaurant.
The next night we called it an early night because we were beat!

We usually stay an extra hour and have some food on main street and shop around since it's open an additional hour and when we went it was not crowded at all then we go have a bath (the kids) get in our PJs and watch a bit of TV before bed.

Depends on what time of year it is...if it's summer, go back to the hotel & swim! If it's cold...go back to the hotel & sit in the Jacuzzi...so nice after a long day walking!

If the Park closes super-early (ie: when I do my annual birthday/holidays trip in December & the CM parties are going on)...go have chicken dinner at Knott's!

There's a bowling alley at Gardenwalk, plus a nice movie theater with a 21+ section that serves beer and wine. Even if you don't drink it's pleasant to be in a newish theater without any kids or teens in the audience.

Depending on how we feel we will go to DTD or go back to the hotel and just kick back. We will get some dinner somewhere or have pizza delivered.

Is it a far walk? (the new one or Dolphin Cove?) We are new WM owners but wouldn't stay there if we had to take ART.

So... not trying to hijack, but... what exactly does happen every night when the parks close? I'd have thought they'd close down ride queues, then shoo you out and lock up, but Ive noticed several posts here with people mentioning they like to wander around after the parks closed. Are they referring to illegal sneakage (which surely Disney security would catch?), or do the rides close significantly before the park itself, or...?
