I'm so bummed...we got back from our 10 day trip 3 weeks ago and all I can still think of is Disney!!!!

I dream about it every single night: I crave Dole Whips, Casey's Hot Dogs & Ohana's (along with many others): I miss the smells, the weather, the resort mousekeeping, the fireworks...even the Disney Bus Rides!!!:o

I've been checking into some shorter day trips for the summer semi-locally to Theme Parks in the NE but when I look at the rides & attractions online...NONE of them even compare to Disney and I don't want to go!!

Am I the only one that has gone thru this total Magical Mouse Withdrawl???:earseek: We aren't going back for another 2 or 3 years and it seems sooooo far away! If only we could live in the wonderful world of Disney forever without a care in the world and nothing but fun and time on our hands!!

It was the best vacation we have ever taken from weather to parks to food etc and I hope when we do go back it will be comparable to the best trip in the world we just had!

I wanna go back...anyone else???? *sigh* I'm going to go look thru my photos again. How do "you" keep the magic alive?! Whaaaaa!!

No you're not the only one! We all go through the post-Disney blues at my house. I make scrapbooks which helps relive the memories, listen to Disney music from live365 stations (mainstreetmegastore.com is a good one) and of course the BEST solution...plan your next trip!!! :)

I know exactly how you feel. There is a letdown period once your WDW vacation is over. I do two things to help . First, I scrapbook all of my vacation photos. I love working on each page and reliving the moments in WDW. Then when I'm done I have this wonderful album to look through.

The other thing I do to help with Disney withdrawal is visit the DIS boards on a daily basis. I love reading everyone's questions and replies and enjoy being able to throw my 2 cents worth in as well. It gives me my little Disney fix for the day.

Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more thing. I listen to some of the Live 365 stations on the internet that play music from the Disney parks. I keep this on alot when I am at work and my screensaver is a Disney screensaver. Folks at work think I'm bonkers....but I just don't care. :p

Sounds like you had a wonderful vacation!

Jennifer,

I think we must have been posting at about the same time. Looks like we both love to scrapbook and listen to Live 365....great minds think alike.:teeth:

lol Kim I was just reading your post and thinking the same thing! :) and of course love Mickey!

I deal w/ the post Disney depression by starting to plan our next trip. I know yours is a bit off, but it still helps alittle.

Sort my pictures into an album, watch our video...I even bought a Disney cookbook with recipes from WDW restaurants and I try to make one of them for the first couple of weeks we're back (but of course, they're never quite as good). DIS helps alot....so does planning your next trip, even if you don't know when it will be.

We went to DL in April and had a blast. It was DS (3 1/2) first visit, and grandma, papa and uncle all came along too! It was perfect just like your vacation!:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Well, we all have been having a difficult time adjusting back to the real world.

At first I thought maybe we would try to go back in November, but then I started realizing that we do have other expenses

We are planning on going back to DL for the 50th Anniversary in Dec of 2005. :earboy2: By then, DS will probably be 40 inches and space mountain here we come!!!:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earseek:

I know how it feels to have to wait so long to see Mickey again. I started my budget for the 2005 trip and am beginning to put money away as we speak!:teeth: It's about the only thing I can do at this point, other than read the DisBoards, which I do religiously.

I also started a 12 month to do list. I'll start shopping for air fare one year in advance. 6 months out, I'll buy one more suitcase and make my preliminary hotel reservations. I like to do somethings way ahead of time because it helps keep me in the Disney mood.

Hang in there and keep looking at those vacation pictures/videos so you can relive the magic.::yes::

I know, the pain of coming home is so tough..I MISS IT SOOOOOO MUCH!!
I listen to all the Disney Cd's I have, watch the movies, visit the Disboards daily, started planning the next trip, but all these things just take the edge off.....I CANT WAIT TO GO!!!

I feel your pain! I cried the morning we left the world! I was so bummed out.. Until.... DH said how about Christms 2005!!!!

HenDuck! Your story is identical to ours! We too went in April but with our 2 1/2 year old.. It was awesome!

We are planning our December 2005 trip with My parents and brother to celebrate the holidays and my parent's 35th anniversary!

I too have been budgeting(since we came back!)

We have many disney CD's including wishes and we listen every day! DD loves the vacation planning dvd.. I am scrpbooking like mad!!!!
