After spending the day on Pinpics...

I have over 535 pins in my collection. In only about 14 months of collecting. Ouch, my wallet hurts!!

Don't think too long and hard about those $$$$$$$$$$.....

Just try to focus on the pins and how much fun they were to trade or get! I used to keep a very detailed cost analysis spreadsheet and believe me it got pin-de-press-ing! Now I just do simple recording of transactions and look at my pins in their books and enjoy 'em!

It is amazing though how those numbers add up isn't it!

I never looked at how many I had. Not sure I want to know!! Especially when lokking at it form that angle!!! Ouch!! is right!!!

Think of it as an investment. It probably is.

I've spent well over $800 in the last 7 months. And I focus my collection on a theme!

But I splurged on others before I decided to collect just AKs. I can only imagine how expensive it gets when your interest is more general.

Be careful looking at them as investments, though. If you plan or need to sell them, do it while they're hot. They are valuable only as long as there's a market for them.

If you want investments with a more certain future just trust spending your $6.50 - $15.00 per pin on stocks or even EE Bonds instead.
