Sounds cool! A cruise with only 2 stops and one of them you've got to stay on the boat. Disney is getting ready to issue a new policy for Nassau. Either you stay on the boat, or leave at your own risk. If you decide to leave, the crew will provide each guest with a flack jacket. You'll have to make sure the coast is clear and then run as fast as you can with your head ducked to avoid stay bullets to the nearest cab. Scrunch down in the seat as far as you can and head straight to Atlantis. And then repeat same on the way back.
I just signed up my husband and I to do this Segway tour in Nassau independently at the end of April when we are there on our Disney cruise. Now I know why it disappeared from the Disney list of excursions.
We really love Segways so I'd hate to give up the tour. But I guess I'll watch the news between now and then to see what happens with security.
They could clean that place up if they wanted to do it.
Contrary to what they tell people in America, crime isn't a random occurance. It occurs where it is allowed. Disney and the Nassau government either want the crime or just don't care.
It's not hard to stop crime when you say, "No more crime" and you mean it. It's been done before.

And my jewelry including wedding rings! That's what I thought, too. That if we take no cash, camera, jewelry, etc. we can't lose those things. We use our drivers licenses for picture id to get off and on the ship so the passports always stay in the safe anyway.
