we saw it in 01 and skipped it in 02 and 04 - DS13 wants to skip it again this Aug

Anyone else who's seen it once and thats enough?

Im only thinking of it since now we can walk back to our room instead of getting on the bus! (dont need to worry about that mass exit)

Actually after the first year we did skip it only because I had a 2 year old who didn't like loud noises but now it is the highlight of our trip.

My 8 year old told me out of the blue about a month ago that it is the best part of the trip, the highlight of her trip, and how she likes to end our trips and that a trip wouldn't be the same without seeing it. My now 5 year old enjoys it very much too.

We've been going every year without skipping since 2003 (3 trips) and now it is a MUST DO.

It's a wonderful show. We'll be doing it again this December.

I agree with the beattyfamily.
It's a wonderful show, musically well crafted and great effects! When Mickey triumphs over evil we get teary eyed and can feel (good) chills up our spines!
I always try to catch the show once every trip!

We enjoy it but we missed it in Dec. due to rain. My DH wouldn't care if he never went back.

We go every time IT's the best night show they have.

We saw it once, and I could skip it. I wouldn't want to wait all that time and not get a seat.

I'm posting after a very tiring but fun week in Disney with 22 members of my family. (Just spent an all day trip to Magic Kingdom splitting off with nieces, nephews, grandparents, siblings and cousins.)

Now I'm awake and debating whether to spend my last day at MGM and see Fantasmic or skip it and do a half day at Epcot or MK. Most likley I'll g back to MGM, but I'm not sure I'll see Fantasmic. It's a cool show, but hard to see. Handicapped seating is way in the back by Standing Room. People have a habit of climbing over my head.

It's not a MUST SEE for me. Epcot is. But I do enjoy it. I think I enjoyed the old Srcery In The Sky program they had.

Out of 7 trips, I think we've seen it twice. Dh really doesn't care for it. Of course that could have something to do with the fact that the first time he saw it, it was about 95 degrees that night, it was incredibly crowded and we were crammed on a seat made for 2 people and there were 3 of us...dd and I sat sideways on the ends of the bench. But at least we got to sit down...others had to stand in the way back area (sro section). So, we haven't seen it in about 2 years. Maybe this trip in June we'll do it again. We'll see.

I would depend on the mood of my children for the waiting time.

I would probably not skip it. It's a great show.

We've seen it once a few trips back, and are going again this trip.

We see it every year - the kids love it. We do the Fantasmic Dinner Package so we don't have to spend hours holding seats.

I saw it in January with my son and GD and already have the Fantasmic Pkg at Mama Melrose's booked for my May trip. Like you, after the show this time I'll be able to walk back to my hotel (BWV). One good thing about the PS area is that they are the first ones out. Can't wait!!

It's a must see for us too :flower: We do the dinner package so the wait is not really an issue :)

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I did not really enjoy Fantasmic as much as the other nighttime shows! We are going for a short trip in April and will hit Wishes, Illuminations, & the parades, but not Fantasmic. It was just too overwhelming for my 5 year old!

We went once years ago and we've never seen it since. I'd much rather be riding rides then watching the show. But I would never miss Illuminations!

While we loved it (and have seen it both at WDW and DLR), IMHO, Fantasmic does not have a high rewatchability, particularly considering the 'cost' in time. I get a much bigger thrill out of Spectro, and have no problem strolling up 5 minutes before start time and standing a few rows back....

We'll see.[/QUOTE said:
You know, I read this sentence and laughed out loud! I said she has to be from Ma. and sure enough you were! Its a definite MA. saying, "we'll see". I say it all the time. :)

Anyway, we've gone on five trips and never missed this show. My boys (except for middle one) could take it or leave it. I LOVE it, each and every time.
