What are your favorite after school snacks for yourself or your children?

Today, my kids are getting muffins and milk. Yesterday was chocolate chip cookies.

What about you?

LOL!! Yesterday was the first day of school for DD12. She asked if we could stop at Subway, and she came out with a MEATBALL SUB!!! For a "snack"!!! She ate dinner at 8:00pm - chicken and a salad, with ice cream after. She must have really worked hard at school!! Today she had a glass of milk and frozen grapes.

Under normal circumstances, we either stop for a milkshake (rare and for special occasions) or she gets some type of cheese and cracker or fruit snack. She loves fruit above anything else, so pineapple, apples, grapes and bananas are always on her list. This week she froze all the grapes I bought and she's having some now...

Typical snacks here - goldfish, fruit of any kind, pretzels, peanut butter or cheese crackers, cheesesticks, cut up cheese and crackers etc etc

ACK!!

You mean I have to make them breakfast before they leave for school, pack them lunches, dinner in the evening.......

And now I have to give them a snack too???!!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

This is our first year in a brick and mortar school (we were previously homeschool) so I'm not sure on snacks. I'm having a hard enough time trying to figure lunches for each kid since they all have their own tastes..and of course they're all different.
So basically I have to make 3 different lunches everyday... whoa's me!

When I come home after school, I like eating fruits too. Any really, especially pineapple, grapes, and watermelon! ESPECIALLY WATERMELON!!

Chips and pretzels are fine too but I'll stick to my fruits. :goodvibes

Nine times out of ten it's cold breakfast cereal. Once in a while Pizza rolls or crackers with cheese dip.

I have been known to have a full dinner ready for them when they come home. They are starving and just can't wait. then they have a salad or cereal later in the evening.

Tortillas with cheese, cereal, peanut butter and jelly on bread or tortilla, popcorn, bananas, oranges, strawberries, grapes, yogurt. Sometimes they even want fish sticks or chicken nuggets (but we don't have them often). The older one likes crackers, the younger doesn't.

I hear ya! DS6 only eats peanut butter and honey. DD9 wants ham and cheese. Each morning I try to get them to mix it up, but it's a no go! One of these days I'm just going to slip something new in their lunches along with a copy of "Bread and Jam for Frances."

Go-Gurts yogurt, Little Bites blueberry muffins or uncrustables.

DD goes to an afterschool program so these are staples she keeps in her back pack or lunch box

My kids like sliced apples, celery with peanut butter, carrot sticks with fat free ranch dressing, crackers, Cheerios (dry), pretzels, popcorn, cheese sticks, Go-Gurt yogurt, and bananas.

My 10 y.o. ds has a stomach that is a bottomless pit. I'm afraid Disney will never offer the free dining plan again after seeing the likes of him. :rotfl:

Grapes, a packet of oatmeal, cookies, quesadillas, chips, pudding...it depends on what we have in the pantry.

yogert smoothies, string cheese, dried fruit/nut mix or dates with peanut butter, veggie sticks (like potato sticks) or chips, cereal or granola bars.

Pretzels, crackers, sliced apples, string cheese, granola bar or popcorn. DS loves snack after school.
