the funny thing is that in a few years no one will remember BLT and a lot of new people will wonder why the symbol is a pig! but I think it's cute too--especially since it doesn't represent the type of resort at all!

RweTHEREyet, you were around when BCV opened, it was the same way, there was a lot of negative posts when presales first started and than when it opened there was another round of negative posts. I remember getting very defensive about it at the time. Now BCV is one of the most sought after resorts out there, both for booking a reservation and for resale.

And you know what, BCV is the resort I wanted to own the most. We only purchased OKW when all the extra points became available. I was really holding out for BCV, and of our three resorts, it is the one where we stay the least. I don't care for the views and unless I am planning on using SAB, it just doesn't get me excited like I thought it would. I don't dislike it, but of the resorts I presently own, OKW is still my most favorite.

I don't remember the intensity of dislike posts for BCV before, maybe that is because there were fewer members at the time.

I hope my couple posts on other threads were not part of the bashing you refer to. I just said what I felt, which is that I am not jazzed about BLT after seeing it. But not bashing it at all, it is nice...not my cup of tea, but by no means would I ever say I "hate" it.

I don't understand the intense hatred for some of the resorts that comes out on here, although I have not checked out many of the BLT threads. I did not have that "gotta add on!" feeling, and I do not like the Contemporary itself anyway, but I have reserved any final like it/dont like it opinions on BLT until I see the grounds and the completed building.

I mean...if you hate a resort that much...just don't buy or stay there. For everyone who loathes a resort enough to post time and again how much they hate it, there is someone who loves it.

Even if I did "hate" BLT, I don't think I need to reiterate it over and over. One, no one but my family cares if I hate it. And two, there are people who love it and are extremely excited. Why post negativity and bring them down?

While I am not planning to add-on at BLT, I am very excited for the members who love it and will be. A new resort is very exciting for the membership as a whole, at least IMHO.
