After hours now half off for AP & DVC members.

Is this event on a "trial" basis? Curious as to why it's only limited to 5 more nights?

believe that's how it was announced.

was hoping to be offered it 'free' in May during our trip:rolleyes1as others have reported

We'e going the end of May and as of now there are no parties. Too bad as I would be willing to shell out $75 for all 6 of us, but although I know we would love it, I just can't justify spending $900 for our family.

The Theme Parks board seems to be taking it well. They didn't overlook that it included APs: http://www.disboards.com/threads/disney-cuts-after-hours-event-price-for-passholders.3505493/

Oh my, the torches and pitchforks will be out on the Theme Parks forums. They do so dislike for DVC members to get anything, they don't.

For some reason that doesn't seem to have the same affect on some that DVC does. I just think DVC is seen as taking over the World.

$75 is a great price - less then a day ticket !

All the Mickey bars you can eat also !

I am all about value with anything that Disney Offers. If I were doing a short stay of 3-4 days I would certainly spend $75 to get into MK for 2 hours or short lines.

As an AP holder, still tough to justify the $300.00 for 4 people and 3 hours (even as offsite w/ no xtra magic next trip)...thought hard about it for a few minutes though.

It's tough to justify, but in the right situation, $75 COULD be worth it. The no lines to ride some things could be worth it. If you were there on a resort only trip, $75 is cheaper than a 1 day ticket. Maybe if I had older kids (which I don't yet) and was doing Universal, $75 a person for a late night adventure to hit a few rides with no lines.....and we know teenagers could put down some mickey bars lol

Why am I happy to see they couldn't sell enough full price tickets for this event. Since it's already advertised for the scheduled dates, looks like they are trying to cut their losses and get at least 50% of the sales. I would not pay for this event and felt all along that this was a "test" to see how much people would pay to attend these. Hopefully if they ever offer something like this again, it will be more affordable and I don't think $75 a person is affordable, especially if you're sitting on an annual pass already. BTW....I got 6 of the AP emails, but none of the DVC ones (yet). On the AP email you can bring a total of 4 which includes the AP holder.

Important Details
Magic Kingdom Park closing times vary. Admission to this event requires a separately priced ticket valid only during specific event dates and hours. Limit four tickets per Passholder per transaction. Attractions, entertainment and experiences are subject to change without notice. A valid Annual Pass must be shown at the time of ticket pick-up. Check in as early as 7 p.m.

I also got the AP email this morning - we won't be there in May tho so could not go. Nor do I think I would be willing to shell out even the $75 pp. That's $225 for the 3 of us - easily the equivalent of 2 TS meals. The overall cost of attendance is just ridiculous (even with our AP's). Am I the only one who has to stick to a budget any more? Geeze Louise!! (I'm secretly crossing my fingers that they still have trouble selling these events out so they will get the hint that folks are tired of all of the nickle & diming. I really think slow sales is the only way to send a clear message to them. If people gobble it up they'll keep at it.)

I still have concerns that Disney will use this to justify cutting regular EMH and monetizing after hours in the parks. That being said, if they do want to have a non-holiday special event without impacting existing schedules, then this is the price point that it should have been. Reports of the first two nights indicated that people were let in as early as 4:00. That's 6-7 hours of park time with everyone, plus the three hours with the ghost town, plus free snacks all for less than a park ticket or party ticket. That's a pretty good deal.
