Anyone else watching wait times right now at HS AH? I feel like the wait times are much more doable. Anxious to hear from someone who is there!
originally the 4/19 AH was going to be our only Hollywood Studios time and I was starting to stress about being disappointed in how much we would be able to do, but I decided to add a park day to HS during the daytime before the party so now we can get the best of all worlds and the AH will be the gravy on top.I saw the same thing. Rise was never less than 40 and Slinky bounced between 25-35. But everything else was 5-10 min. We'll be attending on Sunday and I'm hopeful we can do TSM, MMRR, ToT and MF in the first 2 hours and then Slinky and in line for Rise right before the end of the night!
Yay! I'm excited to hear this. It sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing. Here with a very successful AH report from DHS on 3.29. We rode ROR twice, SDD twice and got some great Photopass so want to share the strategy. Also did MK on 3.27 but I feel that MK is full of personal preferences so not going into detail there.
Arrive into the after hours line (Orange signs all the way to the right) by 6:30, 6:45 latest!
Had a mobile meal ready at Launch Bay 7 for a 6:45-7:15 arrival, got photo passes on the way.
Had ROR LL ready (yes, with only the AH ticket) for 7:20-8:20, rode that.
Went to 8:30 Fantasmic. Amazing!!! A CM gave a hint to not follow the crowds all the way to the left but make a quick turn go the right and get pushed into that queue. Seats were excellent!
At this point we needed to park to empty for the 9:30 guests so we chose Aliens saucer to wait it out, rode that. After this hit up the popcorn and sodas with a rest as the days guests can’t ride rides for a bit. Then we hit TSMM and SDD.
Back to Star Wars land for Millennium Falcon and this is where I chose to wait in a Photopass line for the light sabers and this took a very long time. So plan at least 20-30 min on this if you so choose!
Next a quick star tours then swing around to Mickey and Minnie RR. My son refuses ToT so skipped it but this is where we would have done it.
Back to Toy Story Land for another SDD with popcorn and Mickey bars along the way. SDD picture was 12:14 am so we cut it close to disembark and do that walk/run to Rise, but we made it by 12:20 and out of the park by 1AM. 10 rides, a meal and photo passes. I’d call it a win!
Great to hear some positive feedback, and thank you for the planning details. We will be there for Wednesday's AH at Hollywood. Here with a very successful AH report from DHS on 3.29. Did you feel like most guests attending the AH stayed til the end...just wondering if bus lines were long at end of evening...Here with a very successful AH report from DHS on 3.29. Both the boats and the walking path are at the IG. The front only takes you to the busses, monorail, and parking lot. We're the friendship boats running at the end of the after hours HS to the Boardwalk/Dolphin/YC or was it walk only? I'm going to an after hours event at Epcot later this summer. If I'm in World Showcase I might as well walk to my hotel(Dolphin), if I have to walk all the way up front.
Yes and I feel a lot of us had the plan to get on Rise very last thing so our group emptied after 1am. The ones that didn’t make it on SDD or Rise right before 12:30 probably made it crowded to leave around then, but we came out after most were cleared out. Bus to all the All Stars was reasonable at 1am.Did you feel like most guests attending the AH stayed til the end...just wondering if bus lines were long at end of evening...
Dolphin only has busses to AK and MKBoth the boats and the walking path are at the IG. The front only takes you to the busses, monorail, and parking lot.
I know, I'm just lazy, it's not that far to Dolphin from IG. Usually just plan my day to end near there and hop a boat home to save my aching feet. But if I happen to be near main entrance, I thought maybe Disney ran busses to Boardwalk Hotels, which is super close to Dolphin. If not I'll be sure to end with Remi, and walk from there, if the boats are done for the day. Both the boats and the walking path are at the IG. There are no busses from Epcot to BW/YC/BC/Swan/Dolphin/Swan Reserve.Dolphin only has busses to AK and MK

In January they stopped running the boats about an hour after normal park close, so they did not run to the end of After Hours. They do run buses to the Boardwalk resorts for getting home from After Hours, and walking is also an option (I ended up walking the night I did it, was about 18 minutes from HS to the YC).We're the friendship boats running at the end of the after hours HS to the Boardwalk/Dolphin/YC or was it walk only? No boats back to Boardwalk on March 8th. We were too tired to walk. We left just after 12 midnight and waited quite a while for a bus, so when a taxi showed up to drop someone off (right before we were going to order an Uber), we grabbed it! I assume there are more buses once the event ends?At the first dhs ah in January I got on a boat back to Dolphin around 1:30am. The ah ended at 1:00.
They must have changed it, by the end of the month they were not running boats. At the first dhs ah in January I got on a boat back to Dolphin around 1:30am. The ah ended at 1:00.
We were at the 3/29 HS after hours. After doing our first AH a few years ago, this became our absolute favorite way to do the parks and now with all of the hassle and uncertainty around genie plus it seemed like a much easier and less stressful way to plan. While we did enjoy the event, the biggest change from a few years ago is that you absolutely still need a strategy with HS. We were surprised that Rise and Slinky stayed at 45 minutes consistently through the entire 3 hours. Since Rise also takes about 20 minutes to ride, that is a big chunk of your 3 hours between those 2 rides. Last time, we were able to ride things multiple times but barely managed to ride everything once this week and this was only achievable by getting there at 7:00 and knocking out TOT and Aliens before the park closed. Would have loved to be able to walk around an almost empty GE at night and enjoy it but we had no time. I know the 3/29 date was sold out so I’m sure that was also a factor. Still a great time but you have to commit to a fast paced sprint across the park.I'm so curious about this as well! Would love a first hand review!
